The book provided some good foundation for finding and properly access public geospatial data. The book however is outdated and could use a refresh because the data environment has changed quickly in the 8 years.

Meh. I found this deeply boring, but that is to be expected, I think. Not the most scintillating topic. There are a lot of good resources here, though.
