This book is part of the Dunda Books paperback collection. These elegantly presented books contain the masterpieces of our civilisations' literatures. With text and illustrations faithfully reproduced from the originals these books are presented in an elegant 'black label' format. Printed on quality cream coloured paper, each book is individually edited by our staff for your enjoyment. A powerful and terrible book. In all her strange tale of hate and passion the author has never flinched, and the result is a little masterpiece of the ugly and the sordid. Absolution was written by Clara Emma Amalia Viebig first published in English in 1908. Clara Emma Amalia Viebig (July 17, 1860–July 31, 1952) was a German author. She published many works such as Sleeping Army. However, in 1936 her publications became forbidden by the Third Reich because her husband was Jewish. As Viebig was related to Hermann Goering she herself wasn't persecuted.

An absolutely devastating book. I was hoping for a bit more "pow!" at the end, but it was a disturbing and heartbreaking story that will stay with me for a while.
