Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️/4
Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪/5
Plot: 4/5

Tropes: Opposites Attract, Forced Proximity, Billionaire, Enemies To Lovers, Grumpy x Sunshine, STEM Research, Family Conflicts, Slight Suspense, Found Family

Amy and Daniel are so dynamic and amazing all on their own, but twice as much together! These two knew each other from high school only to be reunited at a class reunion. Little did they know that class reunion would be the beginning of everything for them. Not only as a couple, but also on the STEM world.

Being a powerhouse of a multi billion company is a huge accomplishment but nothing would be right without the people who made it possible. That statement encompasses Amy and Daniel so well and who they are. With this book you are getting romance, STEM, research for incurable diseases, found family and family conflicts. Not to mention a grumpy who falls for the science research queen!

I really enjoyed this book and couldn't help but feel a certain way about how they dealt with their families. Families are such a hard topic to tackle and I think it was handled decently here. Unfortunately I think there are many more issues to tackle than were showcased. It isn't as easy as it seems in the book and would take time. But this is fiction. Not reality. So take it as you will!

Thank you so much to Aimee for the free copy in exchange for my honest review!

My Grumpy Billionaire Enemy is stand alone romance by Aimme Bronson. Bronson is a new author to me and I think that I will be keen to read more of her stuff in the future. Honestly, I found this book a tricky one to give a rating that properly reflects how I feel. In the end, I gave it 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

I did enjoy reading the book - it is fun and I liked the character and plot development. I think the whole "Grumpy, misunderstood billionaire/millionaire" is a whole genre in itself and I am totally a sucker for it. The story itself is basically revealed in the title and the blurb - so no surprises there, we get what we've been sold.

The main characters are Amelia (Amy) Palmer and Daniel Reed. Amy and Reed went to the same elite high school, the thing being is that Amy was a scholarship student and so never fit with her the other kids, whose parents were all millionaires and billionaires with loft expectations of their offspring. Now they are adults and have their own lives when their world's collide once again.

Amy is a medical research scientist with a PhD, she has worked her butt off to be doing so well for herself, despite her upbringing with parents she has chosen to go no contact (well, minimal contact) with. The child she calls her sister she is close to has rare form of muscular dystrophy, and has therefore influenced her career pathway.

Daniel Reed is the CEO of his family's multi-billion dollar health/medical/pharmaceutical company. He has a rather strange family dynamic. His father, who ran the business before Daniel, expects the best and is putting pressure on his son to do more or lose his position as CEO. He has a stepmother who seems a little too quiet. A fairly well mannered stepbrother (who I liked) and two brothers who I found difficult to get a good read on them.

When Daniel's best friend from school, Evan, points out how lucrative the high impact research from Amy Palmer is and the benefits a partnership with her could bring. Conveniently, there is a high school reunion and both Amy and Daniel have been convinced they need to go. This is how they end up in orbit with each other once again. And once they meet again, there is a lot going on both personally and professionally.

I enjoyed the book, but I have to admit coming from a similar background (research scientist) as Amy, I always find myself judging stories with characters. I suppose, since I know both the academic and commercial side of things, I always find it difficult to suspend my disbelief, especially when I see interactions between workmates and how research/funding is conducted. The tone that authors use of interactions between scientists, especially when titles are used in every day work, just never ring true. It's awkward, and lets face it, publication record is more what colleagues would snipe about if they don't get along.
This is essentially the only problem I had with the book and I feel bad for being so judgmental.

3.5 out of 5 stars

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is part of the Grumpy Boss Book Series but is a complete standalone. The book's blurb gives you an idea of what to expect. It's a good opposites attract dual pov second chance romance.

Even though he never wanted the position in the first place, Daniel is CEO of his family's health company & has a lot of pressure to keep things running smoothly. When a rumor begins to damage the company's reputation, he is struggling with a way to come up with something to divert attention & create good press. Meeting Amy again proves to be the solution to his problem, though things quite don't end up like he thought they would. Because of his upbringing, Daniel is a guarded type of grump who doesn't want to let others in yet he finds it easy to want to be a part of Amy's world.

Amy's family situation & childhood pushed her to become the successful medical research scientist that she is. To help find a solution for her sister's illness she accepts funding from Daniel's company. She doesn't have the best memories of Daniel & doesn't care much for him now either but her sister's health is the most important thing to her. While she hasn't forgotten the way that Daniel treated her in high school, it doesn't stop her attraction to him from growing - especially when he shows her a caring side to him. However, their work situation, their past, & their families are all things that they both think about as they wonder about their feelings.

I wouldn't necessarily call their romance an enemies to lovers kind but more of an at odds type. Amy certainly didn't care for him because of how he hurt her in the past but he really didn't have any negative feelings towards her, though he still was a grump towards her at the start. Their attraction was there since the beginning but the romance is kind of a slow burn, though readers won't mind it because of their tension. I did think that some of the conflict, mainly the family drama, was resolved very easily & everything seemed to happen quickly towards the end. However, I actually really enjoyed the research storyline & it kept me wondering what would happen. Overall, I think that this a book that other readers - especially fans of the author- will enjoy.

Amy and Daniel go to the same high school and unbeknownst to each other have family problems that prevent them from being who they really want to be. Daniel says some things to Amy to make her hate him with a passion. She becomes of shadow of herself and sinks herself into medical research as a means of living life.

Years later Daniel is CEO of his father's company, which was supposed to be short lived. But rumors have been set aflame to cause the stock to drop dramatically and he can't leave until it is repaired. He decides to set up a funding project to make the company look good in the eyes of the investors and Amy drops into his line of site to fill that need.

Only the more time they spend together the more they realize that the other person is the one they thought they were so many years ago. With forces trying to tear Daniel's family business apart and his family fighting each other to take control, everyone is walking a thin line of caution. Amy's research progresses beyond her wildest dreams with the funding and help that comes from Daniels company. Can they keep business and pleasure separate from each other? Can they not let the outside world ruin what the relationship that they are building?

This was a very good story, with a lot of heat and passion, mystery, family issues and growth. I would recommend this as a to be read.

Daniel and Amelia have chemistry and a past they both attended the same highschool different social backgrounds he was a jerk she had a crush it's 10 years later he's in trouble with the company he's the CEO of and Amy a scientist needs to find a cure for a disease she's been doing research on there first meet after years apart at a Highschool reunion couldn't have been more perfect he finds out you shouldn't snub the poor girl when you find out how hot they became and she got to laugh and walk away or did she. Who's coming for Daniel's family company his brothers, his new step family or someone else can he have something with Amy or will he burn there new relationships to the ground by breaking her trust.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review. I'm giving it 3.5 stars this was a tough read I like the author but there were two many unlikable characters the bad guy didn't make since what he did made sense but what he did to sabotage the company was never fully explained. Amy was way to forgiving after Highschool and Daniel well he starts thinking about a women in his past and there good times while he's trying to get with Amy all because this women is back in the picture it was just wrong. The good stuff there is obvious chemistry Daniel dose get better and grow up by the end of the book it has a HFN feel that's why I rate this book 3.5 stars.

This is the third installment of this series, told in dual first person POV and leaves you with a HEA. This was a good read about enemies to lovers who get a second chance and it can be read as a standalone.

Amy and Daniel went to high school together, Amy on a scholarship, Daniel because of his wealth. They had a falling out and years later after Amy made something of herself, she found herself in a situation where she needed funding. Daniel looking to repair his work reputation, only planned to use her research to turn his company image around, but got so much more.

Amy was sweet and caring, determined and successful (except when she got her revenge on Daniel). Daniel was stuck in a CEO position that he didn’t want, grumpy and protective when Amy catches his attention. I wouldn’t say they were really enemies, aside from Daniel making a rude remark to her in high school and she held a grudge against him for it ever since. Their chemistry was really good and they both had more in common than they thought in the family drama area.

The research storyline was great and exciting and the fact that they both got their HEA with each other and their family.

I received an advanced readers copy. These thoughts and opinions are my own and left voluntarily after reading for my own personal enjoyment.

This is the story of Amy and Daniel, they went to the same elite high school, Daniel coming from an extraordinarily rich family and Amy on a scholarship. They definitely didn’t mix in the same circles back then, but when Daniel seen Amy at their reunion he was surprised at how amazing she looked.
Amy hadn’t changed her opinion of him at school that he was as an arrogant, spoiled, entitled jerk that she was somehow ridiculously attracted to.
Daniel is now CEO of a company in need of the next best thing in Biotech research and it just so happens that Amy is working on a breakthrough cure for a disease and her research is starting to get a bit of buzz and she is at the stage where she needs research funding,
This is how Amy and Daniel are bought together in a working environment, close proximity, mutual attraction, sexual chemistry, amusing banter, family angst, friendships, enemies, underhanded dealings, excitement, danger, jealousy and love, My Grumpy Billionaire Enemy gives us all these feelings in a really well wrapped parcel that was a pleasure to read, thanks again Aimee for a quick page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat.

In high school Daniel was in the rich group of kids. Amy was poor. In fact she had a terrible childhood parents that did nothing for her. Kindness of others kept her together. She had a few friends even one from the elite group Lila. She never had forgotten from those days going to a party Lila asked her to only to be told by Daniel she didn’t belong. Which crushed her because she likes him
Now present day Amy is leading scientist on working to get a cure for a firm of MS. She is at a point she needs funding to finish it. Daniel is CEO of such a company. It has had stock prices go down over a rumor. He can’t find the source. But with two half brothers who are jealous of him and a step brother whose mom is a gold digger it could be anyone. When Amy comes to hi company on his asking she is surprised at how generous he is being for her to research at his company. Not knowing he needs it to help the bleeding to stop. Her not wanting it to go to the public hurts his standing with the board. Reading this book put aside a lot of time I barely touched the surface of all that happens. I received an early copy for a honest review.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Not so much enemy to lovers romance per se but there is definitely tension between Daniel and Amy that gave way to steamy chemistry. Interesting plot of a disease needing a medical breakthrough and the reason behind Amy's drive, and Daniel's company going through some difficulties and needing that boost to sustain it, which brings these 2 together again. Some parts of the plot were interesting but the execution felt a little disjointed and only felt like it finally came together in the end. After all the mess, things do work out with a HFN/HEA but it felt somewhat unfinished for me as some parts of the plot were never addressed, but this could be deliberate for the reader to form their own satisfying conclusion. Overall it was an engaging read that kept me turning the pages.

This book took me by surprise with how good it is!!! If I could I would give this book more than 5 STARS!!! Amy and Daniel have a history that is impacted by social class differences. This book took into account how hurtful and entitled some people with money behave. Amy and Daniel's story is so captivating considering their dysfunctional families growing up. I loved the multiple storylines and how seamlessly they are interwoven throughout the book. The character development is so realistic showing how remnants of our youth are always present even as adult elements are evident. There are so many things I loved about this book especially having women in key positions in male dominated professions. The love story between Amy and Daniel is definitely a page turner that kept me reading non-stop. This book is a must read. Enjoy!!!

Can’t believe in how fast I read this book, I couldn’t put it down! This is an enemies to lovers, employee/boss romance with a fantastic story and plot.

It starts 15 years ago when Amy was an outsider in high school, she got invited to a party and bumped into her crush, Daniel. He was mean and told her that she basically doesn’t belong there.

Fast forward to the present, the pair meet again where they are both in biomedical research, her a doctor/scientist and him a ceo of a company.

She wants to find a cure for a disease that is close to her heart (muscular dystrophy) and needs funds this is where Daniel comes in.

Some great twists and turns trying to figure out who the ‘bad guy’ is and some romance with a little bit of heat.
Can everybody have a HEA?.

Growing Past Your Beginnings!!

We meet Amy her senior year of high school. Her parents do not take care of her - and the affluent students in the class look down on her. We fast forward 15 years and Amy is now Dr. Amelia Palmer- researching the cure for congenital muscular dystrophy to help her chosen sister; daughter of Jennifer who helped raise Amy.

Funding is an issue; and an opportunity comes to her - but through an old snooty classmate. Daniel Reed was Amy's crush until he embarrassed her. Now he has presented an offer she can't refuse. Daniel doesn’t have it easy - someone is out to sabotage his company; is it within the family or the competition?

Emotional on many levels. Great building of the relationship. Thoroughly entertaining.

4.4⭐️ Falling in love with your mean high school crush years later

I have read LOTS of Aimee Bronson books & she’s one of my favorite authors. This book missed the mark for me, though. There was lots of detail about the characters and set the scene so it was easy to imagine the scenes. There were some pretty steamy scenes, too. There wasn’t a lot of information about how they fell in love though. It felt like they saw each other a few times & lusted after each other. Then, when they slept together, they fell for each other but didn’t tell each other. I didn’t read how they spent time getting to know each other OR why he was so mean to her in high school. Aimee did a good job adding a little suspense to move the story along. We got a HFN that I’m hoping we’ll see more of in a future book.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Daniel and Amy. They knew each other in high school, but were not friends. Amy was a shy nerd and Daniel was popular. Years later, they meet again at a high school reunion. Daniel is attracted to Amy and wants to learn more about her. Amy is a scientist who is looking for funding for her research that will help her little sister. Daniel owns a drug company that is looking for something new to fund to help the company grow. When they reach a deal to work together, their attraction to each other grows, but Amy doesn't know if she really trusts Daniel and he might have other motives. I liked this book, I liked Daniel even though he was a grump and not very easy to be around. I like that Daniel actually had conflicting thoughts about what was the right thing to do. Good one.

This was a great read.

This book is about Daniel and Amy. They had a slight history years ago in school, but it wasn't a good one time interaction. Daniel has the rich kid, hard, dominating smirk and lack of caring for many years to come after that one night.

Daniel hasn't forgotten her, and is attracted to her, but he can't stop his mouth for saying stuff that just makes her reject him.

They come together under the guise of a business deal that is near and dear to Amy's heart. They have a serious I want you but i shouldn't vibe going on.

The level of drama was nice...not too intense, but definitely telling of how the characters got to where they are now.

If you are looking to relieve a past crush, but making in today's high rolling world....start here!!!!.

I liked Amy and Daniel's story, it's definitely worth reading if you enjoy Alpha males and strong-minded females. I found myself drawn into their story from the start as we learned how Amy and Daniel attended the same high school, they weren't close coming from different backgrounds as they did and he said things that hurt her. Now years later she's no longer the underprivileged nerdy girl she was then, when Daniel hires Amy to work in his company. She's brilliant but it isn't only her mind he's interested in. She is busy developing a very important project one that will change things for the better but despite that they are drawn to each other, will they be able to overcome the obstacles in their path and find a way to be together?

This is a fantastic contemporary romance, enemies to lovers type.
Amy was a poorer kid attending high school with the rich kids. She had a crush on Daniel but at a dance, he said something cruel and mean to her.
Years later their paths cross again. Amy is doing groundbreaking research and Daniel is the CEO of the company that needs her research to help his company's falling stock.
Daniel convinces Amy to continue her research at his company.
Daniel and Amy's chemistry was so steamy at times and great to read. This story has a lot of family drama and forgiveness that may bring you to tears at times. There is also mystery, lies and deceit. This is definitely another winner by Amy in the Grumpy Boss series!.

This was Enemies To Lovers, Work Colleagues, Forced Proximity and Opposite Attracts Trope.

This was about Amy a scientist trying to find a break through for a disease eating away at a loved one. She needs funds.
Her high school enemy Daniel is rich and is looking to invest in something good to build his business reputation up again.

Although she can't stand him, she needs the support so she takes it.

Slowly she gets to see another side of him and vice versa.
They have a really slow burn relationship and then finally accept their chemistry.
There are lots of Enemies working to destroy Daniel.
Who is it? Is it his greedy family members? Some business rivals? Or someone within his business?
Read and find out. It was a great read with Suspense, twists, emotion, love and some spice.

I really liked the story 'My Grumpy Billionaire Enemy' by Aimee Bronson. It was a very moving tale because it not only had romance between the couple but had them learning to accept and learn how to live with family members that had emotionally hurt them. They grew as mature and wiser people throughout the story. It is also a race to save the man's company and find the culprit behind the trouble. The lady scientist is in a race against time trying to find a cure for a loved one's disease. It was a fascinating, fast-paced story.

This book was really good, and a page turner. Amy grew up coming from a poor family, and in high school she had a crush on a rich kid named Daniel. He was mean to her at a high school party, and it broke her heart. Several years later Daniel is running his family's company which is not doing good at all. He needs help getting it back on track. When Amy is trying to find a cure for MS, he hires her and funds her testing in hopes that it will save the company. Along the way there is a lot of surprises that I am not going to spoil for the reader. Trust me though you will defiantly want to read the book to see what happens.

I love the story of Daniel and Amy. The relationship started in high school. Or should I say their acquaintance started in high school. Then 15 years later they met again at the class reunion still assuming things about each other that couldn't have been further from the truth. This story shows that you should never assume something about someone. You should always get to know them. I started this book today and I finished it today. I could not put it down until I finished it. If you like this kind of stories it's one to be put in it TBR list.

This is Book 3 in the Grumpy Boss Series and my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It is an opposites attract romance between scientist Amelia and CEO Daniel. These likeable characters and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. Their sizzling chemistry and strong connection are undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. It is a love story with enough drama, steam, sweetness, family dynamic, frustrating moments, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Entertaining.

Back in high school, Daniel was prickly, classist, and unapproachable. He looked down on Amy because he felt she tried too hard to fit in. Now she's on the cusp of groundbreaking research that might save his biotech company - but other forces are at work trying to end his career. Somehow Amy and Daniel discover the sparks that really lie between them. When the bad forces make everything go sour, it looks bleak but Daniel has friends on his side and it all works out.

This is the third book in this intriguing series, and this is Daniel and Amy’s story. These two knew each other in high school, and now 15-years-later he is the CEO of his family heath empire, and my is a leading researcher, who he must have. This is a well written story which is an opposites attract, forced proximity romance, with drama, emotions, intrigue, and love, which leads to a steamy and entertaining page turner.

Good second chance
It's a good romance in the world of research, between Daniel and Amy I liked how their grudge from the past evolved quickly after they met again, however, along with it I also found the pacing of the narrative sometimes a bit slow to start in the early chapters.
The story is rather interesting by revealing the underside of the research, to have positions, funds, with at the same time, a whole family sphere full of twists and turns around Daniel.

This story started years before. Amy had a crush on Daniel until they were at a party and the advice he gave her shattered her dreams. Fast forward and they meet again. Now the chemistry is bubbling to the surface. He's getting pressure from the board. She's looking for financial assistance for her research. Life gets more complicated. There is a lot going on in both their lives. With family being at the center. This book will bring the drama, the passion, a little empathy, growth and most of all love.

My Grumpy Billionaire Enemy is Book 3 of the Grumpy Boss series by Aimee Bronson. I could not put this book down, I wanted to see how everything ended. Daniel and Amy went to school together but never really knew each other. Then years later they reconnect and she ends up working for him. They rebuild their relationship and find a cure for a disease. Some shady people try their best to ruin their lives but providence wins out. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

Amy and Daniel went to high school together but were from opposite sides of the tracks. Daniel is a more complex grumpy billionaire CEO who has a lot to prove. Amy has worked her butt off to prove herself and find a cure to help her “family” but she has gone as far as she can go without an investor. At the high school reunion things get interesting between these two! Who knows what you’ll find once you start peeling the layers back of these characters in this HEA.

I absolutely loved this book, the storyline was fun and easy to keep up with. Amy and Daniel were sworn enemies, he didn't like her and the feeling was mutual for her. I liked the fact that Amy is a smart motivated woman who has a goal to find a cure for a disease that has affected her life. There was some suspense, a little bit of drama, and backstabbing done by a member of the board of Daniel's father's company. This author did a wonderful job with this book and I strongly recommend it.
