Michael Cooper (1941–1973) was a British photographer who is remembered for his photographs of leading rock musicians of the 1960s and early 1970s, most notably the many photos he took of The Rolling Stones from 1963 to 1973.
His best known work is the cover photography for the 1967 LP Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles.

Dear Readers, via Good Reads or Amazon this title is wrong. The name of the book is "You Are Here... Michael Cooper - The London Sixties."
Now that we got that cleared up, I should explain who Michael Cooper is, or should say was. He passed away in the early 70's and was a very close friend to the Rolling Stones and their social world of the late 60's and early 70's. And the title is slightly misleading with the respect to London Sixties - because he pretty much traveled in the Stones world throughout the world - and photographed them when they were most 'out' there.
Cooper photographed the Sgt. Pepper cover as well as the Stones' Satanic Majesties Request" 3-D album cover. In other words he's London 60's This book is a remarkable visual record of an inside view of the pop legends of its time. And one cringes on the thought that Cooper couldn't survive the times.
