The Rev. F. Bruce Vawter was a noted biblical scholar and former chairman of DePaul University's religious studies department. Father Vawter, a member of the Vincentian order, joined DePaul in 1968 as a professor of sacred scripture and was chairman of the religious studies department in 1969. He wrote several books, including The Path of Wisdom, Job and Jonah and Amos, Hosea, With an Introduction to Classical Prophecy.

my first serious look at gospels....very helpful for a begginer... puts everything in the perspective
