Hilarious and often erotic stories about the desires and fears of the Indian middle class! Loved 'Phoren Soap' the most. Most stories need their translation brushed up as the sentence formation is often awkward. After reading a lot of translated texts by Indian authors, I understand how hard and instrumental the job of a translator is to make a fabulous book. Even with riveting stories, untidy translation can leave a lot of loose ends, and make a story unreadable.

An ok set of stories, one dramatised, from the state of Gujarat. The stories have a flavour of Gujarat. An ok read.
