Takes some of most important episodes from the histories of Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, and popularizes them, making them fun and accessible to readers of all ages.
a fascinating collection of stories about life on the wild frontier, but the writing itself was a bit disappointing - the syntax and overall organization was not intuitive, and chronologically many of the stories jumped around so much it was hard to follow. Still, would recommend to anyone interested in this part of history/ the Santa Fe Trail!
This was a fun, short book that I read right before doing a road trip along the Santa Fe trail. The writing is not great literature, but I enjoyed reading about some interesting characters.
