Back in the early '90s I found myself at the end of a relationship that was, for lack of a better term, co-dependent. I started going to AlAnon meetings, but didn't feel like I was getting everything I needed from them. A life-long family friend (who was in recovery herself) sent me a copy of this book, and I'll be forever grateful to her for it.
It's not earth-shattering stuff. But it did help me to move my life along in a more healthy direction.
Anna was a wise woman who saved letters she sent and received to the many people in her life. A sort of modern day Aesop...the fables/letters teach some important lessons about life and love.
