An informative book providing background and history of the House of Faberge. I, like most people, had only really ever known them through their imperial easter eggs, but it was interesting to see how there was a juxtaposition between very rare and expensive works of art, and the commercial openings that provided 'a little something for every one'. Some of the text was repetitive and the photos were helpful but a sense of scale would have also helped in some cases. I walked away better informed for the next time I find myself looking at some of their works.
