This was the expose of the media for kids that I have waited for! This gem talks candidly to kids of how magazines (as well as anything media related) persuade us to follow the crowd thru messages in ads and photos that make us think "Oh boy! I should be like, say, skinny Kate Moss or be like Drew Brees and follow his example!" I myself was a victim of such a mindset and have since the age of 12 sought to redeem myself for falling for ads and promotions of a lifestyle that "should" be but is so not. I once felt "if only" I could be like Luke Skywalker or wear what Harrison Ford had on in Blade Runner or, God forbid, marry Scarlett Johannsen. But fortunately I no longer have to fall for the same old same old trap and you don't have to either. It's okay to read the mags and see the films and love the hot stars...but it's just as good, often better, to question the world. Good luck!
