About the author

Vanzetti Ivanovich Chukreev [Russian: Ванцетти Иванович Чукреев] (1928-2015) was a writer, author of books of prose.

A native of Khanty-Mansiysk, since 1945 he served in the Pacific Fleet.
In 1951 he wrote the first story "Happy Voyage". He wrote about Siberians, sailors and fishermen, about Kirov and Marshal Zhukov.

He worked in the Writers' Union of Russia, supervised the writers of the national republics, was in charge of the editorial office of the literature of the peoples of Russia, the Sovremennik publishing house.
