Was very dry. Primarily focused on the religious symbology of the unicorn. It also went into great detail about paintings and art. The most interesting part was the evolution of the unicorn from being depicted as a goat or donkey like creature to a small horse to a much larger one. Also found interesting how their 'horns' were sold with magical healing properties back in the day but were really just the tusks of sea animals. The chapters constantly jumped around from theology to history, to politics, to random pieces of literature and so on. Was expecting more historical folk tales but what I got was a very dry lesson in symbology and art. Not for me
