374p paperback, black and yellow cover, good condition, light wear, spine a bit loose but binding intact, one or two light pencil marks, pages generally clean and legible, a good used copy of an uncommon edition
of course worth reading, the first great adventure book. Filled with so many gods goddesses demigods nyphps, etc., it's quite amazing... many more than in the Iliad, and as usual Lattimore's translation is to my mind excellent. And for me the very best parts are Homer's similes, which bring the ancient world into light: The carpenter who draws a plumb line to fashion a door or a wall, a crop being gathered, etc. Of course, if you've never done anything like that or watched anyone do that kind of work, then I don't think the similes will mean much to you.
