The idea of this was good, but it seemed to be rather disorganized and haphazard in some ways. It seemed that a number of Bible translations were used too, which made it feel even less consistent/ I read this during November, one scripture a day since it seemed to be a good way to do it. When I finished—surprise—there were other scriptures all stuffed in at the end. Why? Could the author not just pick 30? Because that is in the title of the book, so it is what the reader expects. I ended up skimming over them because I wanted to go on to my Advent readings in December and didn’t want to worry about this book anymore. I’ve read a few in this series, and this will probably be the last. I’m usually left a little disappointed and the books end up feeling a bit lacking. I did like the Easter and Christmas ones a little better than this one.

I was a little disappointed in the lack of structure to this devotional. It is all scripture -- not opinion -- so that is good, but each day jumped from translation to translation, with no continuity of order. The titles of each daily reading were very misleading, as well. I honestly would have titled most of them very differently. Having said that, we are about to start the Christmas devotional written by this same author. It looks more ordered and methodical, and may be a better read than this one. Stay tuned...

This was okay, but the titles of the days did not seem to match up with the Scriptures chosen for that day. However, I am going to give this author another try, as I'll be doing his 30 Days of Christmas with a small Bible study group...looked briefly at the first 5 days of that one, and it seems to be more accurate and organized, so we will see....stay tuned...I'll review that one as well.

Thank you

Great insights for reflection! The biblical themes were very helpful, the texts selected were on point. Thank you very much for making this information available to the public for spiritual enrichment. May the Lord God, bless you and your administration-beyond measure.
