Hospital and health system marketers are facing unprecedented pressure to demonstrate results while facing dramatic changes in their industry. To meet those challenges, marketers must boldly break the bonds of the past and move forward in new and better ways. This book, by well-known healthcare marketing expert, speaker and author Chris Bevolo, serves as a call to arms for marketers to step up and transform healthcare marketing.
Terrific information for folks who handle PR/Marketing in hospitals and health care organizations. The author lists five changes that need to happen. 1. Accept that the public doesn't care about your organization; 2. Try new ways of marketing-no more billboards; 3. Break bad habits; 4. Breathe life into "zombie brands"-define, develop, and manage; and 5. Measure. The book is easy to digest, it makes sense and has great examples for improving your marketing program. CEO and leadership need to understand and buy in as well.
I had to read this book for my Masters program. It is easy to read, fun and funny, and makes excellent points about how the market views healthcare marketing. If you're a leader in healthcare, you need to take a few moments to read this book.
