Francis Bacon and his eerie portraits will forever be in your memory once you've seen them and thought about it. Here you'll find the study after Velazquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X, his images from life, images of mortality and a chronology. Very impressive paintings here. A true modern master. Very disturbing but highly recommended!

Bought this book after recieving 7 Reece Mews Francis Bacons Studio as a Christmas Present. Interesting to find out more about the artist and his work. Lots of illustrations and background imformation. Disturbing, distorted and thought provoking like the artist himself.

A really good basic introduction to the life and major works of Bacon. Great format and beautiful reproductions.
