I adore this series and Trigger was another winner for me. Set in this author's Hell's Jury MC world, Book 3 tells the instalust/love story of Trigger and Evanee, both who were standout characters for me. With a definite case of opposites attract, the two have chemistry and steam that is hot, rough and heavy and while there are club and family issues going on around them, their relationship takes centre stage. With just the right amount of angst and drama, this one kept me going until the early hours and left me wanting more of the main characters. Trigger meets Evanee when she sits with him in a food court he's lurking around in whilst keeping eyes on a rival MC member's spouse. They both go their separate ways, but when Hell's Jury heads her way in search of protection money when she sets up her new vet shop, they're happily thrown back in each other's lives. From there, they're both all in and any issues that came up were met with 'this is how we'll make it work' rather than any doubts being cast on their relationship. I loved this - normally an author would take the much-worn, tropetastic path where every cliché under the sun is thrown their way as to why they couldn't be together but there was none of that nonsense here and it made my heart happy.
Having read the previous books in this series, I wasn't sure how I'd like Trigger because he was a brash womaniser. While he was still rough with no filter, I absolutely loved him. He was an abrasive, what you see is what you get type without any airs about him, committed to his club but still putting Evanee first as he knew she was it for him. Since he was a great lover of the female form I was expecting a bit of other woman drama or something similar that arose from his player ways but there was next to nothing and I loved this, too, because it stopped their relationship from being like every other MC one. He was also dominant, jealous and possessive at all the right times without falling into the cheesy misogynistic MC trap that some authors spiral in to. Be warned, he has a dirty mouth, swears non-stop (I loved this but a pet peeve of mine is people giving a book a low rating because of bad language - it's an MC book so you've been warned) and is tatted up, pierced (including a Prince Albert) and blatantly sexual. As for his lady love, Evanee was a knockout, too. Trigger's polar opposite in many ways, she was intelligent, well-spoken and from a very wealthy and influential family. Having gone out on her own, she was a confident, bombshell-esque female lead who spoke her mind, took no nonsense and was just as unapologetic as he was. She loved animals (even rescuing her own furry friends), smexy times and used her good looks and sexuality to manipulate others if and when it was needed (up until she met Trigger). While these might be difficult characteristics to balance into a likeable character without being too over the top, Slater smashed it and I loved Evanee. She was smart as a whip and this combined with her assertiveness led to some terrific moments that were as funny as they were ballsy.
If you haven't read any other books in this series you can definitely read this one as a standalone, but be warned that there's an over-arcing plot involving a potential traitor to the club that involves corrupt government agents as well as rivalry with another club. The writing, as always from Slater, is solid with her Hell's Jury world being believable, the supporting characters strong and the dialogue clever. Some aspects were a wee bit over the top, but it added to the plot and the fabulousness that was Evanee. I loved that the other characters from the series, including the main couples from Book 1 and 2, featured heavily in this one. I know I say this with every release in this series, but Trigger was my favourite so far. I'm already gearing up to reread it and it'll be going straight into my Favourites folder. I can't wait for the next one.

One of the best books I have read! OMG! I loved this book! Trigger is at the mall when he sees Evanee. Love at first sight for both of them. But hang on, Evanee, wears designer clothes, she talks the designer talk AND she's a vet with some quirky pets, Trigger walks and talks MC. When these two get together, it is sizzling hot. Evanee falls for Trigger and doesn't give a flip about him being in an MC. And Trigger instantly declares she's the one for him and is marrying her! The story had me laughing out loud with some of the things that come out of their mouths. The entire Hell's Jury MC guys all have a mouth on them that is sometimes hilarious and sometimes deadly serious. There is a lot going on besides the romance between these two, including other MC clubs. This is a great book, and you need to read it today!!!

Trigger-Book 3 of the Hell's Jury MC Series is a page turner from the very first word. Trigger is all alpha. All Biker. His club is life!! Evanee is the polar opposite. She is a veterinarian who loves the finer things in life like red soled shoes and the outfit to match, as well as hot, alpha bikers. One in particular, Trigger. Evanee is so different from the club life style and it starts to grate on some of the club brothers nerves. Just when things start to become normal and Trigger and Evanee get into a rhythm, danger from the past finds them. This is an action-packed book. I love the how you get all the feels in this book. I love this MC and every brother in it. I definitely recommend this book. However, start from the beginning. You will not regret it. Kudos on another Fantastic 5-Star Book Nikita!!

The chemistry between the two is so freaking hot and steamy. Another leading female character who doesn’t back down from a fight when she’s hit head on with obstacle after obstacle. I love the push and pull between the characters and absolutely love Trigger’s jealousy when Evanee uses her ‘assets’ to get what she needs. She takes on the President of Hell’s Jury and has members scratching their heads when she goes toe to toe. An amazing read and definitely 5 stars. If you haven’t had a chance to pick this book up…definitely worth it!

Part of a larger world, this can still be read as a standalone. Trigger and Evanee could not be more opposite in personality and lifestyle, but they come together and mesh so fluidly. There is instant attraction with none of the frustrating back and forth. There is also a surprising lack of OW drama, especially considering Trigger most definitely had a 'favorite' amongst the club girls and how much OW drama played in prior books.
I really enjoyed that Trigger and Evanee accepted each other for exactly who they were and really didn't change for the other person. This was a fun read and a really good addition to the series.

Such an excellent read. I absolutely loved Trigger and Evanee’s story ❤️❤️❤️ She is a fabulous character, always speaking her mind and flabbergasting the men of the MC. Trigger fell the first she approached him at the Mall and she thought of him constantly, they should have swapped phone numbers. Going to shake down the new business in town Trigger finds his girl and the fun and adventure begins. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎

Trigger and Evanee meet in a food court, of all places, and the attraction is immediate and intense. But Trigger is working and their time is cut short. They do meet up again and it is off the charts hot and heavy, right from the get go.
This couple has hurdles they must jump through, chaos and calamity around them, but they do it so beautifully and passionately.
Love these Hell's Jury men and women but I especially love the grumpy Hangman 💙

This is the latest entry into the Hell's Jury MC series. Evans is a modern, fashionista veterinarian who always has her stilettos on. There is immediate chemistry between her and OTT possessive Trigger. There are several times in the story where I laughed out loud at some of their shenanigans but the action just kept on coming. I look forward to the next book in this series. 😍

This book took me a bit longer to get into, regardless it was fantastic, and I enjoyed witnessing Triggers and Evanee's journey. I never expected that Trigger to act the way he does with her, and I'm rooting for them both. I enjoyed this book and eagerly await the next in the series.

October 30, 2023I should have passed on this book but I liked Trigger in Rocky. I pushed through several times because I’m trying not to dnf books. The story was just not for me. Maybe someone else will enjoy reading it but for me it was a big fat NOPE.

Loved this fast paced MC story. This is the 3rd book in the series and what an amazing and emotional story by Nikita Slater. Evanee and Trigger are polar opposites, but they sure are hot together. This read was hot, gut wrenching and one wild ride. Loved it!

Knew I wasn't going to like this book, but it turned out to be because of a whole different reason. This whole plot was ridiculous. Evanee is so fictional its laughable. It was boring and lame. Even the backstories were weird.

I absolutely loved this book about Trigger and Evanee. She is down to earth with looks, smarts and feistiness. She is not afraid to stand up for herself. My favourite part of the book was her going to the clubhouse to negotiate with Hangman. That whole scene had me giggling. This book is fast paced and action-packed with great characters. I highly recommend this series.
