A cookbook with typical recipes from the cuisine of Ibiza and Formentera. It contains about 80 recipes in several chapters: hors d'oeuvres, starters, soups, main courses and desserts as well as a chapter on local traditions and a traditional larder on the islands.
The directions are detailed and there's also information on difficulty and preparation time. If there are several things to prepare for a recipe the ingredients are listed separately.
The pictures in the book are quite enticing.
I have yet to cook a recipe from the book - I only just acquired it on a recent trip.
There are recipes for many Ibizezencan favorites: Ali Oli, Caoca de Pebreres, Empanadas, several Paella style rice dishes, many fish recipes, bunyols, Magdalenes Eivissenques, Ibiceno Herbs Liqueur and a recipe for homemade nougat 'Torró'. Sadly there is no recipe for Ensaimadas.
