Little Red Fox Feels Angry: An Anger Management Book for Little Ones

Rate this book
It's okay to feel angry! But sometimes our angry feelings can feel really big and overwhelming. It's important to learn to manage our anger in a safe way. Here's Little Fox to show little ones just how to self-regulate!
Uh-oh. Little Red Fox feels angry. Her face feels hot. Her heart is beating fast. Her body is tense. Her anger is exploding out of her body trying to tell her something! But she wouldn't want to say or do anything that could hurt herself or others. So Little Red Fox and her friend the butterfly practice different methods to make Fox's angry feelings smaller and smaller so she feels more and more in control of how she wants to act.
A great addition to any social-emotional learning (SEL) library, toddlers, preschoolers & kindergarteners will love relating to an adorable fox who feels angry sometimes, just like them! But most importantly, they'll also learn self-regulation skills to control anger. Inspired by the teachings of Dr. Becky, of Good Inside!

Sorry to disappoint, but Didi Dragon is not actually a dragon. She has one dragon-like tendency, though, which is she can only sleep in cold, dark rooms, kinda like a cave. Otherwise she’s rather jumpy with sudden noises, and hiccups if her tacos are too spicy. If she could have a super power, it would be to fly, of course. She likes to roller skate, dance while cleaning, and play futbol. She’s not very good at those things, but it sure looks like she has fun.

Oh yeah, she’s currently writing Cavities vs. Toothpaste.

best book for big angry feelings

I absolutely love this book. My toddler loves this book. He loves pointing out how angry the fox is 😂 We’ve been practicing the breathing technique to calm down when he’s worked up and it’s actually working!!!

Fun, Helpful, Colourful Treasure!

Wow! Easy to understand for most ages, chock full of expression, bright artwork, and fun along with a very important topic...not just for kids but for all of us! Reminiscent of Aesop's Fables but for a younger audience, we follow angry fox as he discovers through his butterfly friends how to transform the negative emotion of anger into an ultimately positive end. Everything about this book was on-point, should be on every shelf, and shared with every child (and adult).

Another Didi Dragon book I read thanks to her TikTok page. Very grateful for that.

This one is not the funny kind the author used me with, but it's a great book for the little ones when it comes to managing emotions - it's anger management for the little ones (and works on adults too). And it's not about suppressing anger, but rather about understanding it and trying to not respond to it in a way that could be hurtful to us or others. It opens a lot of subjects for the little ones.

The illustrations are really cute too!

Little Red Fox is back with more hot takes on how to manage feelings. This time, she's angry, but with the help of a friend, she learns to understand her anger and take back control.

An affirming and practical book with adorable illustrations.
