Rate this book
Using materials otherwise deemed as scraps or junk, this handbook shows mosaic artists how to incorporate such items into rich and beautiful works of art. Crafters of all levels will learn to look for and adapt ideas and designs from such sources as ornaments, photographs, fabric, paintings, jewelry, pebbles, polymer clay, and found objects to create outstanding pieces. From the design and material-gathering stages to instructions that employ the latest techniques and innovations, including the revolutionary glass and tile saw that allows curves in mosaic work, this handbook inspires and motivates artists to create beautiful and lasting artwork.

This book is so good I almost want to just keep it as a secret so I can implement her techniques one day and blow everyone away. It's written by a true artist that actually knows how to write. She very matter-of-factly describes the inspiration, tools and often surprising processes she uses to create her incredible art. The photographs of her work are fantastic. I love it!
