It was just supposed to be a one-night stand with a handsome older stranger. Now, I’m his daughter’s nanny. But I can’t stop thinking about the night we shared…
“I’m the nanny.” Wearing last night’s clothes, standing between my handsome older one-night stand and his–surprise!–ex-wife and daughter, I said the only thing I could think of.
But he does need a nanny.
And I need a job.
It should be easy for us to put our night together behind us… even if it was the best night I’d ever had. His top priority–and now mine–is his daughter, not dating. But it turns out the care and confidence that Ryan brought to the bedroom is how he treats me as his daughter’s nanny, too. Over conversations at the breakfast table and glasses of wine after work, I can’t help but fall for the older single dad.
Our relationship is doomed from the start. He’s a decade older than me–and he’s my boss. All we have is a secret summer fling.
But when we’re together, it doesn’t feel forbidden...
It feels like forever.
The Billionaire’s One Night Stand Nanny is a standalone novel in the Bankworth Club Billionaires series. This billionaire single dad/nanny romance has a ten year age gap, a romance-reading heroine, a really good dad, a secret relationship, and a lot of steamy scenes I wouldn’t want anyone’s ten-year-old reading.
This one snuck up on me. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the story as much as I did which is why I had regrets when I realized shortly after starting that it was the second book in a series. I just figured this would be a one-off, stand alone read by a “new to me” author who would ultimately disappoint me. Nope, not true at all, I enjoyed this so much that now I’m tempted to somehow fit book one somewhere in my TBR hierarchy (only Jesus knows how that is gonna happen) and I cannot wait for the next installment—Charlie and Samantha are gonna light my Kindle on fire!
The Billionaire’s One-Night Stand Nanny by Britt Bentley
This is the second book in the Bankworth Club Billionaire series. There wasn’t too many plot holes that I wasn’t able to read this as a stand-alone but it might be best to start with book 1 (James and Edie’s book)
Ryan, one of James’ best fiend, is attending Edie’s (James’ wife) book launch when Flora, Edie’s best friend, stumbles upon him while searching for an escape. Flora had just been told she was being let go from her teaching job that she loves. Her and Ryan immediately hit it off and have great chemistry. After a bit of back and forth they end up having a one night stand. Flora against her best logic, stays the night and the morning. Ryan’s ex-wife surprises the two and Flora is leaving. Knowing that Ryan is flustered by the early arrival of his daughter and ex-wife, and knowing that he needs a nanny, introduces her self as the new nanny. Ryan and Flora are now left struggling with the new employer-employee dynamic while trying to suppress the chemistry they have with each other.
It is clear from the start that Maddie has been the center of Ryan’s attention for a long time and Maddie is so ready her dad to find love and remarry. Ryan is struggling with finding the balance he once had and opening himself up a new possibility of a relationship. It is also very clear that Ryan will literally do anything for his flower (Flora). Flora needs $2k for her sister (which I always love because $2k is nothing to a billionaire but she refuses to ask him or James) which pushes Ryan to help her even more. Flora is very shy to love but it is clear she really really loves Ryan. As for Ryan, the secret date nights? The biscotti? The new job?? The flowers??? That was so so cute.
Maddie, Ryan’s daughter, is an aspiring fashion designer and Flora helps he take her first steps towards her dreams by helping her learn to sow. I really liked that Maddie was written like her age. I feel like I’m most nanny romances, authors give the children random ages and the kids never act their age. In this book however, Maddie’s sarcasm, mood swings, and curiosity were written to fit her age which i really liked. Maddie and Flora get along very well and seem to have a very lovable dynamic as both nanny-child, mentor, & possible step-mom.
Another thing I really loved is the fact that Flora would actually take care of Maddie and take her places because in most nanny romances they forget about the child like 30% in to the book. Overall, really enjoyed the pace and development of the story. I think this one stands out from other nanny romances because it does have the big big drop or ridiculous fight that others do.
Rating: 4.7 ⭐️ Spice level: 3.8🌶️.

Flora was at a charming little bookstore celebrating her best friend Edie’s debut of her first novel. When Edie went over to share the joy with her husband, Flora walked to a table in the back to find a book to take her mind off things. Her teaching job had just been cut from the budget and she was let go from a job she loved. A man was standing at the book table. She was about to leave when he looked up and smiled at her. Seeing sadness in her eyes, he teased her and she teased him in return about the romance books, then she surprisingly invited him to come home with her for the night! That would make a much better distraction for her than reading a book all alone. He was exactly what she needed right now.
Flora and Ryan enjoy a one-night-stand which should have been the end of things. But his ex-wife arrives with his daughter, Maddie. Needing a quick explanation, Flora tells Ryan’s ex that she is now the new nanny! Fortunately, they had just chatted about Maddie and his needing a new nanny as they were drinking coffee together. Since Flora needed a job, at least over the Summer, and Ryan needs to hire a nanny, it works out for both of them.
The usual fears follow as deeper feelings for each other trigger their worries. Ryan is concerned that he is too old for Flora (which he definitely is not). And she is concerned he could be a parent of her former students! But the two are falling in love. Will they talk about their honest feelings and accept the HEA waiting for them, especially since Flora already adores Maddie?
I loved the story line and the wonderful friends that surrounded these two. It felt all along that they were meant to be. Would they make the right choice?
This charming story will have you in Ryan and Flora's corner from page one. They have an intimate night when his ex comes by with his daughter. Taken back Ryan is at a loss for words but Flora tells his wife that she is the new nanny. It starts her and Ryan along a path one that keeps her close to Ryan and have their feelings growing. He has feelings for Flora but feels that he is too old for her. When those feelings are returned by Flora will it change the outcome for Ryan and will it lead them to a happily ever after.

This is Book 2 of The Bankworth Billionaire's Series but can be read as a standalone.
This story is Flora and Ryans story. I absolutely love how they meet at a book signing and she takes him home, what a great start to their story. Basically, they were meant to be a one-night stand but events happened and she ended up being his nanny over the Summer. The story was angsty and emotional at times but very steamy and of course love conquers all. Wait for the kitchen scene the second hand embarrasment is real but so fuuny.

I loved this story and how fate throws them a twist by putting the characters closer together than they thought.
They meet at the bookstore, the chemistry ignited, and they go home to an intense night of passion. The next morning the ex shows the next, Flora jumps in to save face saying she is the new nanny.
This romantic story was easy read that was perfect for a lazy day as things heated up and the passion is felt with the characters.
