A bit of an unusual time travel story, dangerous elements, but still light-hearted enough. Both Jamie and David are two sides of the same coin, one ancestor to the other, but both loving their land enough to fight for it. There’s romance and excitement, and the swinging back-and-forth between era is a time-travelling delight, as well as the tension in the form of the two villains who also mirror each other as everything hangs on a treasure that may or may not exist.

A nice little novella to read on a rainy afternoon to lighten the day.
