This book, which is now over 30 years old, holds up as one of the most valuable resources for dvrei Torah I have ever owned. Rabbi Twerski pulls a handful of pasukim from each weekly Torah portion and offers deep spiritual and psychological insights into their meaning. His background as a Rabbi and psychiatrist with addiction treatment experience gives him unique perspectives on complex human issues raised by each parshah. I highly recommend. If you're expected to discuss Torah at the Shabbos table, this book can be your secret weapon! You'll look like a genius every time! Shh... don't tell anyone.

Something to think about each week. These pages were kind of a guide for me and I looked forward to the beginning of each week to see what Twerski had in store for me. Great book and a nice spiritual, self-help type of practice.
