From 3X award-winning Author & Illustrator Erica L. Clymer Join the lovable dog Scooter on his hilarious quest for a bone in this "paws-itively" heartwarming tale of perseverance, compassion and kindness. Scooter is usually a "good dog." However, today, his tremendous craving for a dog bone has taken over! After rummaging through the house with no luck, Scooter decides he must set out in search of one. Please don't tell his human! Scooter sniffs his way through town, leaving no stone (or garbage can) unturned. Will he find a bone or go home "empty-pawed?" The story, told by Scooter himself, will have children laughing out loud yet learning about the power of kindness. Not only will they choose this book over and over again, but it will also encourage them to think about how they can be a "good human" each time they read it.
Hi there! Thank you for visiting my page. Here is a little bit about me and how I became a Children's Book Author and Illustrator. As a kid, I loved drawing and was constantly filling up sketch books with cartoons. I liked to draw characters from movies, the Comics section of the newspaper and even create my own! As I got a little older, I also found a love for creative writing. I soon began to pair my illustrations with stories and handmade several of my own books. My love for art carried through to college where I studied Architecture and Graphic Design. After graduation, I pursued a career in the design field. A few years ago, my mom was cleaning out my childhood room and gave me a box filled with my books and sketches from when I was younger. She doesn’t like to throw away anything my sisters and I made growing up! Anyway, as I was reading through my books, I was reminded of how much I loved writing stories and drawing characters. After working as a Product and Graphic Designer for 13 years, I decided to pursue my childhood dream of becoming an Author/Illustrator and left my corporate job. My first book, Finn’s Fun Fish Adventure, was inspired by one of the books in that box my mom handed me. Thanks, Mom! I absolutely love writing and illustrating children’s books and am so happy I took that leap. I must thank my family for all their help and support with my books, especially my husband Anthony! I am very grateful that my book, The Great Garden Escape, won First Place in the 2021 Purple Dragonfly Awards Food-Related Category and Honorable Mention in the Health Category!
