A Must Read for New Producers

This book was excellent. It gave great examples on how to go about raising funds for feature films. It's about taking the steps to actually do it vs. Just talking about it. It can be done if you are persistent. My favorite was how he stayed on top of lawyers. Learn to control your costs. And always have more than one lawyer to choose from.

After hearing Tom Malloy speak I bought and read his book. This is an honest and revealing first-hand account of how film finance for indie films has changed. Tom is not afraid to reveal the secrets that have worked for him. The book provides a very different approach than what I have read in other film finance books. I have concluded that this is a very risky business but if you are going to succeed I sense that these are the techniques that will work.
