Zona #2

ZONA II: Sabertooth Uprising

Rate this book
These are dangerous times in Zona as Grant Taylor leads the humans who survived the expedition to winter quarters deep in the core of the crater. Winter arrives as the sabertooth lions begin their campaign to overtake the entirety of Zona’s lands. They have a surprising new weapon that they use to defeat the dire wolf fighters in numerous pitched battles and skirmishes that threaten to drive the dire wolves from their high meadows and forests. King Warmdor asks the humans to join forces and protect the land they all love and to prevent the fall of the dire wolf Kingdom of Zona. No one can imagine a Zona ruled by the treacherous and dangerous Solomon, king of the felines.

Grant and his fellow expedition members agree to help their beleaguered dire wolf friends to battle the scourge of the violent lions. But what can they do? They help find out what the new poison is that the cats use to kill wolves. They can fight with their weapons to keep the eight hundred pound sabertooths at bay in individual combat. They must fight for their new home and their new friends, aiding Prince Wuleron and Wooderadd, their companions in the just cause.

Meanwhile, Max Volkov crosses the dangerous marshlands and reaches St. Petersburg where he prepares a relief expedition with sorely needed supplies and ammunition. He works with Boris Ustinov to set up the first line of defense to prevent Zona from being discovered by the outside world. He must return to Zona over the frozen marshlands called the Land of Mist even though the Siberian winter seems to freeze him in his tracks. Will he make it back to Zona in time to resupply his endangered team mates?

A tale of human and dire wolf companionship, family ties, loyalty, selfless courage, feline treachery, and collective wisdom. Will the dire wolves of Zona survive the sabertooth uprising? Will Grant, Tamara, Volkov, Maxim, and the other fighters survive the desperate battles? Will Randall and his family live to tell the story of the dire wolf Kingdom?

Only time will tell.

Zona II: Sabertooth Uprising

Max Volkov is on a mission to get supplies to Zona and his companions who are fighting off the sabertooth tigers. He has to cross the treacherous land of the mist, where it’s very very cold, and he feels like he could freeze to death in any moment. He has been working with a man name for us to set up a mining company as a shell company so no one will know what they are up to and no one will locate Zona, he is very frustrated when the tractors he orders are going to be six weeks late. Meanwhile, Grant, Lada, and Yana are setting up a new camp, rearranging it to look just like the first one. Grant and Lada leave to go talk to the dire wolves, prince, and king Wuleron and Wooderadd. The humans and the wolves have learned to speak to each other’s minds, king Wuleron ask them there to go to a meeting to ask for their help in warding off the sabertooths who they think are going to try to take over Zona’s land. The wolves show Grant and Tamara a hidden passage through the mountain that was formed by lava flows, this will allow Grant a way to warn Volkev of the saber tooth’s. It’s a long journey from the camp and there are many changes to the landscape. During dinner, one night, Grant tells the king and prince dire wolves, that they need to try to find an advantage to fight the sabertooth. Grant tells them that they need to lead the sabertooth down the ramp and into the valley and fight them two and 3 to 1 the wolves decide this is a good idea and set a plan in place when the actual battle happens, the wolves defeat a great number of the sabertooths. Soon another battle began. The Lions had breached the ramp and were attacking the people in their camp. It was a very bloody battle, but the king of the cats was killed, therefore bringing him into the war.
