A funny and moving story of what happens when a boy's mother remarries a more observant man. Jason Siegel thinks his stepfather's new religious observances have gone far enough. First only kosher food at home. Then he is forced to wear a kippah (yarmulke). Now now baseball games on Shabbat! Jason is determined to play ball-no matter what. But when his plan backfires, Jason finds himself entangled in a situation that hurts his teammate's feelings and jeopardizes his relationship with his mother and stepfather. Jason's 'Saturday Secret' brings him face to face with his stepfather for a touching reconciliation that helps Jason understand responsibility, truthfulness and the meaning of Jewish observance. My second time reading this book! It was good! It was a nice short read that I could finish in 1 setting which is what I did! I read this book for my 24 hour Read-A-Thon challenge! I am doing good so far! I have had tons of coffee, tea, and water! I am trying to beat my goal and read 9 books in 1 day! Wish me luck. 🤞🤞 I am currently trying not to fall asleep! LOL
Age restriction- Honestly this book was so good that is a 4 yr old read this it would be fine. SO yea this book could be read at any age! This was totally child friendly!
I chose to read this book because it seemed like an intresting one mostly because of the intriguing title.

There are no weak points in the book. the strong points are when Jason is arguing with his father. I would recommend this book to all the juwish kids out there.
