This is EXACTLY the book I was looking for! I have been trying to teach myself how to format eBooks for years now. After lots of trial and error, I have been (mostly) successful with some formats. And then I got to Smashwords, and I just about gave up. I read this book, and now I have successfully published an illustrated children's book on Smashwords (not an easy task) after only one day. I recommend this ten times over. SO glad I found this book.

Taught me how build an ebook from scratch.

I really liked that the software and the validation sites are both reputable and free.

And yes, I've made mean, lean ebooks ever since.

My one small quibble, which has more to do with me not paying attention than with the content of the book (which is impressive in scope), is that the first part of the book go over all the separate parts, and only in the second part do you roll up your sleeves and get to it.
