A bargain as 2 books in one and v different from each other. Rhona MacLeod gets too dangerously involved in her cases though and I find that difficult to believe. In the first one she gets too involved with the investigating fire officer as well so it’s even more complicated. I think her assistant Chrissy does most of the forensic work!!
In the second one things get even more far fetched as she gets sent to the US to deliver a paper on DNA and later finds about secret research that has been taking place on the Isle of Skye her birthplace. Everything eventually gets sort of linked up and explained after lots of dangerous near death experiences. As long as this is read with a massive pinch of salt- well packet of salt, it will all make sense!!
