The graveyard shift at the Night and Day truck stop used to be quiet and uneventful, until a group of attractive drifters show up one evening. When the group decide to extend their stay, the staff soon discover that they are not dealing with ordinary customers. These drifters haven't been human for a very long time. As the weeks pass and the body count rises, the staff at the truck stop realize that if they don't soon put a stop to the antics of this group of sadistic killers, they will feature as the main course on the vampires' menu. The question how?
I read this book based off a bunch of good reviews on amazon. I felt like I wasted my time reading it which always frustrates me. The problem with this book is that the story never goes anywhere. You read about the vampires and their daily interaction and thats it (which NEVER gets interesting) then at the end the author tries to throw in some action that seemed rushed and out of place. The book started off ok with some good character development but without a story line. I will not be reading the other books. This one disappointed me too much to possibly waste my time on another
Not one of the best books I've read, but I did find it interesting. The characters are entertaining, but the story seems weak. There's a sequel, and apparently one of the characters thought to have died may have survived to wreak more havoc.
