This book is a little repetitive. If you eliminate the name of the high school and draft info you get to the meat of each players story. The book isn't about the draft, years in minors, called up to majors etc, it is about the father/son relationship. The book would be much nicer to read with those extra details omitted, however a much shorter book then.

the message was the same from player to player. Work hard, have fun, play the game right. Simple and to the point.
