I was looking for some sort of enlightenment by reading this book. Containing information about more popular languages such as Spanish and Chinese, it didn't really help me to decide which language I would possibly want to learn. It did help me, though, to narrow my list. I had long crossed pictorial languages. Now I've crossed tonal languages as well from my list. And Spanish and Hebrew and Russian, for many different reasons. All and all, this book is quite informative for anyone who wants to learn a foreign language, but still hasn't got the slightest idea about which one (or two, three, four) to learn.
