I loved this series of visual learning books, as they always hit the point home of exactly what to do, where to click, and so on.

Good book for beginners learning to create a website virtually from scratch using HTML. However I would recommend another book Creating a Website: The Missing Manual by Matthew MacDonald which really went into detail exactly what is needed.
