Highly recommended. Filled with beautiful artwork, fascinating discussions of Naxi history, religion, and especially their pictographic script. Endlessly captivating. I just wish it were a few hundred pages longer.

I guess this is the most exhaustive work in English regarding Dongba culture and related artworks. Very well edited, pleasure reading. Enjoy!
