From the story to the illustrative style, this book feels very much like the Magic School bus series. The little blue engine serves as a way for a 2nd grade class from Piney Vale Elementary School and their teacher Mr. Beasley (sorry, Miss Frizzle) to travel to a Zoo and help find Lulu the baby elephant.

**Note: this book is written by Monique Z. Stephens (not Watty Piper) and should be attributed as such. The book is an adaptation of Piper's The Little Engine that Could.**

The greatest hero the world has ever known saves a baby elephant.
In other news it has been reported that the death of quality children's literature is imminent....

Ok how the heck do you lose a baby elephant? Also why are there random tracks in the preserve? This requires too much suspension of disbelief. Ozman enjoyed it though because he is a train hound.
