Magpapakasal na sana si Blanca with her fiance, yun nga lang sa isang masakit na pangyayari tuluyan siyang nabigo at napaurong sa kasunduang kasal. And who's this girl that took her fiance away? Nakakainis man sabihing ang kanya mismong kapatid ang kumuha ng sarili niyang lalaki. Mga ilang araw pang nakaraan, sunod sunod ang mga trahedyang nangyayari sa kanya gawa ng kangyang fiance but in the end she came up marrying her fiance's brother. Ha? Why? Kasama ba yun sa plano nila?
Sa lahat ng manunulat si Martha Cecilia ang buong tapang kong binabasa na madaming.... alam mo na. Ito na naman at nabuksan ang topic na iyon, akala ko kasi wala na sa librong ito because the character is conservative but she have big quotation marks in between. She is already married to a man that she only met 2 days before! O see, but that scene might be common at talagang literal na nababasa mo na sa ibang book pero merong ka pa ring urge to read it.
To discuss it more, Martha Cecilia do not write sex vividly. As in, she really explained both parts. She explain the side of the guy and the girl, unlike other books who only explore the side of the protagonist o kung sino man ang ginagawang narrator. Mas nilagyan niya ng feelings when she added a lot of metaphor and I learned a lot from it. Using a lot of metaphor made the story more emotional but too much with it made it a piece of a joke! But I don't know kung two chapters na puro ganun ay masasabi mong over o baka maganda lang at eksperto siya sa larangan ng romance.
Of course, di talaga mawawala ang tatak ni Martha Cecilia. The ending of her story always had this twist that will jump your heart and ask yourself, 'ha? Pano nangyari yun?' Which is alam mo na kung bakit, di ka lang sure kung posible bang nangyari yun sa iyo. Example is love at first sight of the guy that thought na di mo siya nakilala for years. So sad, that only few manage to explore books like this. Interesting talaga siya at in fact, madami akong natutunan kay Martha Cecilia in writing novellas.
Hindi ko masyado nagustuhan ang flow ng kwento, but what I loved from this is yung twist sa dulo kahit di ko naman nagutuhan ang twist sa ibang books niya. Baka dun sa bumabawi, pero this time, I'm sure that this is not her best book and never been tagged by the word 'Reader's Choice' or the 'All-Time Favorites'. Wala lang, I think if you are a true Pinay makakarelate ka sa kwento for being conservative and do not support premarital sex.
Characters are commonly the same, the guy will always had this strong looks and females had this soft and weak point but with strong emotional appeal to the readers. Hindi mo kasi mababasa ang feelings ng guy in Martha's book and she only focused on the female narrative. Maganda itong i-example sa mga workshop as a general, and I want to meet her personally kahit wala akong balak magsulat or I'll ask my mom to read some of her works. If love can be only named after sex, sana di ka na lang lumutang sa mundong ito kasi ang pag-ibig ay kusa lamang uma-appear.

martha cecilia copied the Idea of LYNNE GRAHAM's TROPHY husband. even the cheating fiance, the relative patner in cheating, the misunderstanding at the end, of course binago nya ang pangalan, still this is not her idea.
when i read the first explosion of the book, which was the cheating fiance, parang alam ko na ang mangyayari, parang ililigtas sya ng older brother ni cheater,.....and then BOOOOM....LYNNE GRAHAM all the way.....

My knight in shining armor ang dating ni Benedict sa kuwentong ito dahil sa lahat ng ginawa nya para mailigtas lamang si Blanca sa kapatid niyang si Kier. Nakakairita at nakakatakot at the same time si Kier dito dahil para siyang may mild obsession kay Blanca. Maganda ang pagsasalarawan ni Martha Cecilia kay Kier bilang antagonist kaya madadala talaga ang readers sa takot at inis sa character na ito.
