Rate this book
Pp. xvi, 447; 24 text figures (all family trees). Color pictorial stiff wrappers, lettered in light yellow, 8vo. This work provides a detailed history of paleoanthropology beginning in 1860, when Darwin's On the Origin of Species was published. Delisle did a masterful job with this history. He consulted about 1500 reference works to construct this detailed history. Milford Wolpoff wrote the opening essay and Bernard Wood wrote the concluding essay. There is also an eight-page biographical appendix of all of the historical figures mentioned in the work. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
