The pictures are well done! Stark, dark, and gloomy. It sets the tone of the book well.

This one did feel more preachy, and less like a story. The point could have come across better with more plot! Perhaps showing more of what led her to make the choices she chose?

A star for the illustrations, a star for the heart and message behind it. But, I never felt attached to the characters or circumstances, and the story felt rushed if it truly existed.

Team brave fights for freedoms law and we need to protect our constitution. I highly recommend brave books. I love that it teaches lessons and morals that children can apply to life. I we have have children ranging from 8 to 14. Every morning Our family reads a picture boom together. With such an age gap you can imagine there’s a lot of mixed reviews. However, They love brave books so much they request them over any other books and recently they told me it’s their favorite part of the day. They like that The storyline moves on between all of the books. They also really like animals of high character animals coming together to defend freedom island. They especially like looking for them mouse on the pages where the character receives the letter

Definitely aimed at older kids, but our toddler really enjoys this one as well. It's pretty on the nose like Aesop's fables, but nothing wrong with that. The message about the dangers of power and the necessity of good laws was clearly portrayed. The illustrations are really cool and detailed. We haven't done any of the activities in the back but I look forward to doing those when our kids are older.

After Pudding helps her Lava team along with Lester and his pirates steal the Freedom law, she realizes the mistake she's made and redeems herself, and correct her error, by helping the Brave team regain the document.
