If you are struggling with knowing if where you are is where your purpose lies, you need to read this book! Hope takes every doubt and shows you Jesus’s truth at every turn. You will smile, you will cry, and you will feel comforted as you read.

Hope is the big sister every girl needs to pick them up, dust them off, and remind them that the way were created for this moment and God has never left them.

It was a joy to read this book and I am better for it ✨

The pages of “Purpose Doesn’t Pause” are filled with Spirit-filled truths and heartfelt advice for any young woman experiencing confusion in who God says she is, why things look differently than she had hoped, how her God-given purpose applies to the season she’s in, and more. Combining bits of her own story, “Purposeful Chats” with other women of God, and loads of scripture, Hope Reagan Harris has crafted a powerful message that is sure to stick with readers long after they finish the last page.

Hope’s words are wise and dearly kind, and her heart for this message is clear in every page.

To any twentysomething gal who’s ever found herself stuck in the trap of comparison, self doubt, or just plain confusion: this book is for you!

*My most sincere thanks to David C. Cook for sending me an e-ARC in exchange for my honest review. These thoughts are entirely my own.*

1.5⭐️ read unfortunately and this is a hard review to write because I respect writers vulnerability in putting together works for others to consume and hopefully benefit from. With that said, this would be the worst book I’ve read this year due to how boring and elementary it was. I can see where this would be a good resource for new believers or people who may not have had much encouragement or read other books with similar information. This read more like small podcast episodes of many different women speaking briefly, short stories that were basic, practical tips that are already very common and lots of scripture references (which is the best part), but little that the author added to it sadly.

The chapters in this book were relatable and encouraging in just the right season of life for me. The writing and depth, however, is more suitable for YA, so I’d recommend this book for college age girls. The only aspect of the book I would change is the “purposeful chat” in each chapter. These sections felt unnecessary, which is the reason for a four star rating.

Quick read but could come back to parts of it again for reminders. Great book for girls in their 20s.

Good book but content too light for me.

I chose it because I was out of borrows on my library app and it was a bonus borrow. Lots of the same reframing and keeping the long-game in mind. Neat approach with including Bible verses and the "turn it over to God" stuff. not my cup of tea overall, but has many useful action steps which is critical for a book like this to be useful.
