Have you ever been in a situation where you think when your mom have another baby they are going to forget about ? Well in this book the main character Lizzie is having a problem with adapting to the new baby being born. The genre of this book is fiction. My opinion of this book is that it was good but I think I should start reading books my grade level.
The setting of this book was mostly in the room. Lizzie didn't want to be the second banana but her friend said she wasn't going to be the second banana because her dad had enough love for her and a herd of baby boys. So Lizzie forgot about the baby then when she gets nervous she goes in the backyard in start digging holes. Then her friend said she should be happy she was having a baby brother. The conflict is person v.s person because she don't want to be treated like she don't exist. Lizzie is a loving person but all she really want is to have her real dad back. Heather ( Lizzie' s best friend ) is a girl who supports her best friend in the silliest situation .
I wish that the author would have gave information about Lizzie real father. I understood why Lizzie felt that way about having a baby brother being born because sometimes parents forget about you because they are more worried about the baby more than you. I had predicted that Lizzie would have a never positive thought about the baby but it that Lizzie was actually looking forward to meet the baby. If I was author I would have gave information about the father and how her mother and father got divorced. I was shocked when Lizzie was actually starting to like her new step father although he gets annoying when he whistles every time he walks in the door. I could compare this book to Junie B. Jones because Junie B. acted the same way about her mother having a baby. I could compare this book to my life because if that was me I wouldn't like the thought of having another brother because i don't like sharing.
A thought I had on this book was that it was good but the author should have put how she felt about her losing the little miss seafood pageant. I would rate this book a 5 . I rated this book a 5 because it wasn't my reading level so i couldn't really get into it. I would recommend this book to kids 8 and younger because the kids in this book is about 8 or 7 and I figured that the kids would probably have a lot in common. I hope after reading my book review you could relate to what Lizzie went through.
