About the author

Harry Edwards (1942) is an American sociologist and civil rights activist. He completed his Ph.D. at Cornell University and is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. Edwards' career has focused on the experiences of African-American athletes.

This is an excellent guide for the beginner with some clarification I was not previously aware of. Harry Edwards writes simply and clearly with excellent explanations of the different types of mediumship, trance, healing and psychometry. The list of do's and don'ts at the end is very good as well.
