Unleashing the Spirits #1

Unleashing the Spirits, Volume 1

Rate this book
Unleashing the Spirits Volumes 1-3 is Christian-faith based, testimonial, apocalyptic nonfiction book that unleashes living, personal testimonies to open the hearts and minds of people to keep the Holy Spirit burning and glowing in their walk with Jesus Christ. Many of us have engaged in ungodly behaviors, thoughts, and speech patterns where God is not pleased. Now it’s time to unleash the spirits that are either keeping us bond (enslaved to that sin) or set us free. Many are seeking for spiritual understanding and truth because we are battling against fleshly desires and captured in a spiritual warfare of both good and evil.

Yet, God granted us “freedom of choice.” We can either choose life or death. There are only two paths we can take: narrow (godly choices) or wide (worldly choices). Therefore, this book unleashes about the spirits of both godly and ungodly works.

Furthermore, after each chapter has a Moment of Reflection, where it challenges the reader to reflect and answer questions after reviewing biblical passages and insight on subject at hand, or living testimonies with a journal section. In essence, this book challenges our spiritual, mental, and emotional capacities about the spiritual versus earthly realm, including the differences between good and evil spirits.

First, thanks to the author for giving me a free copy for an honest review.

Unleashing the Spirits is a unique and eclectic work written by Adrienna Turner. Adrienna describes it as a “Christian-faith based, testimonial, apocalyptic nonfiction book.” In addition, she said:

“This book is for mature, responsible, and open-minded individuals. After reading this book, I am praying that it will deliver those struggling with sin…Clearly, there is a spiritual warfare between angelic and demonic spirits, either to keep us under God’s provision and protection, or to ward us away from the Lord and continue to live in our filth [sin]. Moreover, I pray that this book will assist one’s journey to discover the mysteries of these spirits among us—to be able to conquer and be delivered from it!”

The book covers many relevant topics such as: worldliness, gossip, music, fashion, materialism, angels and demons, and more. Each chapter has a Moment of Reflection where it challenges readers to reflect and answer questions after reviewing biblical passages and a Journal section to write down insights and questions. The author writes with a prophetic tone meant to inform, challenge, and encourage readers.

One aspect I really enjoyed about the book was the testimonies. Many individuals contributed by sharing transparent life-stories related to the topics. In fact, the author shares how God delivered her from being an aspiring rap artist writing sexually explicit lyrics to someone writing and singing gospel. In addition, another commendable aspect is how well-researched the book is. The author quotes from various sources such as: Plato, Aristotle, Newsweek, Jet Magazine, and Christian literature. However, the author is clear in uplifting Scripture as our standard and God as our focus. Amen!
