Baby with my Billionaire Boss

Rate this book
Nothing disrupts a perfect life plan like an unexpected baby.

I never could've guessed Sloan Forrester would be both my new boss and the love of my life. Even though our whirlwind romance was an accident, I planned to love him forever.

That was before I found out I was pregnant with his child.

We couldn't have been more divided on the subject, and once again, I wound up heartbroken.

Pregnancy was never in my life plan. But even our differences couldn't keep me from Sloan's decadent touch.

With our disagreements flaring, the last thing we needed also resurfaced at the worst possible time… an old flame.

Life-altering surprises stun me at every turn, and I'm terrified I could lose everything.

The idea of this was rather delightful. It didn't rock my world but it was what I'd call a cosy read.

When the book opens, We have a pregnant Piper Lovelace (adoring the name) working for her ex lover, billionaire boss Sloan Forrester who just so happens to be the baby daddy.

Now the interesting slant here is, Piper is a fiercely independent career woman, totally in denial about her pregnancy whilst Sloan want nothing more than Piper, this baby and many, many more babies as his happily ever after….

I did love the character of Sloan. He is so enraptured by Piper that he cannot think of living his life without her but our grumpy heroine refuses to acquiesce to a future that includes marriage, beautiful babies oh and a ready made billionaire…

Stretch of credulity here… Jeez Piper smell the coffee. Oh and I forgot to mention that they are BOTH madly in love with each other but you know that denial I mentioned? Yep that too she's ignores.

I really wanted to rate this higher than 3 stars, but no matter how sweet an idea is, it's all about the writing at the end of the day. I found a lot of the dialogue was too formal and felt 'forced' and some of the sentence structures a little odd.

Still if you want to fantasise about an old fashioned hunk, family man worshipping the ground you walk on who is Prince perfect AND who happens to have billions in the bank then this is the book for you.

This book had its entertaining moments, but I mostly found myself rolling my eyes at the things the characters said and did. I thought Sloan and Piper acted like adolescents and they were barely likeable. Sloan is a billionaire who is madly in love with Piper and is dying to raise tons of kids with her. He constantly manipulates her, in very obvious ways, to get her to stay with him. He has Piper meet the most angelic twin girls I've ever heard of to get her to see how great kids can be. I love kids, but I've never met a child who didn't act out every now and again; these girls are perfect and so are the parents.  Piper is so worried about the effect of kids on her career, but who in their right mind would fret over raising kids with a supportive and loving billionaire who can hire nannies and cleaners to at least take some of the stress out of rearing children?! I think every mom would love to be in her shoes, but she stubbornly refuses all logical arguments. Still, the story gets 3 stars for it's entertainment value and the secondary characters.

Piper randomly met Sloan at the Chicago Airport and they hit it off, but it wasn't meant to be more than that. Until Piper started her new job… working for Sloan. All seemed great at work and with life as a couple until Piper got pregnant. All Sloan wanted was someone to spend his life with and have a big family. Piper doesn't want kids and told Sloan they should give the baby up for adoption. So they come to any sort of agreement? Can their love last? And what other obstacles do they have to get through (and they are a doozie)?

I was not sure how this book was going to be. I felt it started in the middle of the story, but it ended up being fine. There was so much more to it than Piper and Sloan meeting, dating, and getting pregnant. I love how Piper worked through her fears to get her HEA.

This is not your typical, oops I got pregnant by my billionaire boss and we live happily ever after.
Piper is in love with Sloan, her boss. When she finds out she's pregnant, everything changes. Piper has a f8ve/tenvyear career plan and a baby isn't in the picture. Sloan wants children, lots of them.
As these two break up because of her pregnancy and their differences in raising the child.
Piper is willing to give up all her rights to the baby to Sloane.
The story follows Pioer trying to convince people she knows what she's giving up. And Sloane trying to get Piper to real8ze they love each other and they should get married and raise the child.
There are a lot of characters introduced in the book, all not necessary for the story.
I also didn't by into the fact that Piper didn't want the baby because she thought she would be a bad mom. Her character was too independent.

Read Sloan and Pipers first meeting a while back, imagine my surprise to read this is the continuation of their hea only it isn’t! Things have changed and the MCs are no longer together although Sloan is trying to change that. This is such a well written and put together book. My heart broke for Sloan, liked him immensely he is a gorgeous human being and loved her deeply. Piper is another story, I found her prickly in the first book and I haven’t changed my mind, there’s just something about her I just couldn’t relate to her, but it doesn’t take away how amazing this book was. A book full of love, steam, great family and friends network, the standard jealous cow and a great little twist towards the end. Loved this book and the beautiful ending.

This was Boss/Employee, second chance and accident pregnancy. Dual POV.

I didn't read the 1st book. But it didn't affect me to understand this plot.
This was a different take on accidental pregnancy.
Piper and Sloane are perfect together and love of each others lives. Piper has a career to think of and her future doesn't have space for a baby. She decided she wants to give baby up for adoption but Sloane wants children and with his love. This caused them to break up.
Read and find out if they can give it a second chance?
Will Piper realise her fear isn't what she thought it would be?
Can they overcome the surprise from the past. Sloane was just perfect 😍.
This book had drama, angst twists, humour, emotional roller, love and spice.

This book started off right off the deep end. There wasn't too much backstory into the characters and the scene was set in a bit of chaos. I did enjoy the story and understood Piper's viewpoint with children. I didn't really enjoy how he kept trying to get back together even though they both had their own viewpoints on a family and though they eventually did have their happy ending, it just seemed a bit forced. I also thought her ex coming back into the picture seemed a bit forced into the storyline as well. I thought it was a cute read, but there were a few things that I found a bit odd that pulled me out of the storyline.

I found this book to be an excellent read because of the original story. Piper and Sloan are an unlikely couple who want very different things from life. I found Sloan to be an upstanding, kind, personable man who desperately wants the love of his life to want him. Piper is a woman who knows what she wants; a career above all else. She is willing to give up a future with the man she loves for her goals. This story had me in knots pulling for Sloan and Piper to find common ground. How they reach an understanding makes this an outstanding must read book.

I received this book from Bookfunnel as an ARC for my honest review.

An interesting take on a romance. The book begins after Sloan and Piper have ended their relationship. The story glosses over how they met and fell in love. Their relationship ended when Piper found out she was expecting. She is not ready for a family, so she wants to give up the baby. Sloan wants to keep the baby..

After their breakup, Piper gets a new job and guess who is her new boss? Sloan decides he is going to try to convince her that they should be a family.

This is a quick read, a bit spicy. There is a twist with a former boyfriend who resurfaces...

Piper and Sloane were very compatible until it came to wanting a family….Sloane wants an house full, Piper isn’t interested in being a mom , just one problem she’s expecting his baby but wants it put up for adoption so he breaks off the relationship. All well and good but after an Initial fortnight off she’s now going back to work for the son of a ….He’s not making it easy ,leaving her wanting. An angsty almost naive romance that has lots of derailments.

I didn’t enjoy the story as much as I expected from reading the blurb. There were a lot of characters introduced in the book, that weren’t necessary for the story and a lot of the dialogue was too formal and felt forced.

This is my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and characters. It is a heartfelt romance between Piper and Sloan. These flawed but likeable characters, the strong connection, the combustible chemistry, and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. It is a love story with steam, drama, passion, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An emotional romance.

These characters are wonderful. Piper is a feisty stubborn young woman who is pregnant and unsure if the baby will fit into her life plans. Before you say she’s selfish, you need to know she is kind, sweet, scared, and very much in love with the baby’s father.

Sloan is the baby’s father and yearns for a life with Piper raising their child together. He is probably one of the most patient men around. He loves Piper and is bound and determined to change her mind.

An easy read with a cast of wonderful characters. Romantic, a bit steamy, and a rollercoaster of a ride.

OMG!!!This book was so good. They were enemies and they became lovers in a steamy romance love affair. It was a page turner and I just could not put it down. The suspense that was over me wanted to read even more of this story. The chemistry was like firework it was smoking hot between these two main characters. I just fell love with them in this story.

Fears Manifest More Problems

This story was very compelling as it brought to light struggles that some women experience when expecting a child. While some of Piper and Sloane's decision seemed childish, their fears cause other problems to manifest while working on their feelings towards each other and the new life coming into the world. Very well written.

Baby With My Billionaire Boss is an enjoyable read. Ava Bailey takes you on an emotional ride with a few twists thrown in along the way. The characters are personable. She has created people you will care about. The "Billionaire" aspect of the book is barely relevant to the story. In this case it is more of a backdrop for the unfolding story than a vital part of the story itself. The expected baby is a larger feature than in most such books. That makes this one a step above the rest!

A good read overall. As plot twists go, this has definitely got it covered.Although I found all the "drop into conversation" bits a bit monotonous and as for marnie, she should have been fired long before she was. Definitely not the right job role for this character. Some parts of the last chapter seemed a little rushed but other wise ok!

I received this ARC from the author and happily leave my review.

The main characters Piper and Sloan made this book hard to read. I found Piper to be stubborn and not listen to herself or others, yes, she originally did not wasn’t the baby but she needed to work that out for herself. Sloan acts like a high schooler trying to make her jealous by dating a rival.

I enjoyed this story it was a nice change for it to be the woman in doubt over a baby. Woman are human and to see her fears written makes their HEA sweeter as he worked hard to let her come to her own conclusions while still loving her.

This is an enemies to lovers romance. It started with a one night stand, a short relationship to being in different places on a pregnancy. Piper wanted a career, but Sloan wanted a big family. I highly recommend you reading this book for yourself to see how it ends.

A quick spicy read between Sloan and Piper. I just had a hard time with the way both acted at times. They seemed very naïve and immature for my tastes. Overall, it was enjoyable, but I have a hard time with the immaturity. I received an ARC copy.

Deciding?

Piper is pregnant but not happy about it and decided to give the baby up but wants to keep a relationship with the father on her terms. Hard to relate to characters in this story.

Hurt

What Piper did to Sloan was beyond wrong. I have to give it to Sloan, he trusted his feelings. He had a very supportive family to help him through those difficult times.

This was a tough book to get through. The writing was very immature and the author could have used someone to go through the book and just look at the flow of the spoken words.

Piper and Sloan already had a relationship and have broken up by the time we first meet them. And Sloan is trying to win back Piper and show her that she will be a good mom to their child. Only to have Piper be stubborn and stick to her plan.

And things only get more complicated when Sloan acts like a hurt high schooler and dates a rival at work. Or when Piper's ex from the past comes back to town.

Somehow, Piper and Sloan get their happy ending in this stand-alone book in a series.

Honestly, this book read like they were in high school rather than almost thirty years old. And the drama between them. Like dude, give her time to think about her decision. And the surprise ex was his younger brother. Who Piper dated for four years and never met his family. How does that even happen? Very repetitive dialog throughout as well.
