Oh, authors. Please stop making pages that mean I have to turn the book. It's cute, yes, but a hassle when reading aloud. Not sure that I want to be talking about stinking carcasses with my little ones, either. And then our dinosaur gets burned to death by hot coals. I mean, I get it. Dinosaurs all died. But this is a little much for me with little ones.

i am not rating this book. i did not expect to read about the smell of a baby triceratops carcass lmao. but the child i read it ti understands everything about dinosaurs so it wasn’t too weird

this is fun text told partially from the perspective of a Tyrannosaurus on its' daily routine of hunting and surviving. It alludes to the Tyrannosaurus's rank in the local ecosystem and at the end it hints at some kind of disasterous end for the Tyrannosaurus even as it continues to go about its' typical hunting routine. Could segue well into a dinosaur writing piece in which the students model their own dinosaur writing.
