Detective Libby Jamison isn't sure she's ready to handle a homicide after her last murder case led to a personal breakdown. She is separated from her family, estranged from her daughter, and her new co-worker and partner is a cop of the worst kind. The last thing she needs is a murder case. But this new victim is not much older than Libby's daughter, and Libby feels she must prove to her boss--and herself--that she's fit to work the case.
Libby soon learns the dead girl was obsessed with the study of Tarot and the occult, and grudgingly accepts the help of her own sister, who is an astrologer, to begin to understand the strange motivations underlying the murder. Will Libby be able to suspend her disbelief and learn to navigate the archetypes of the Tarot and Astrology in order to bring the killer to justice?
I live and write from Colorado and Florida. Against all best practices, I’m at work on three series at once. I love the mystery genre and also appreciate the great characters found in literary fiction and the classics. I’m also a mystic, a textile artist, gardener, sailor, and cook.
