Going into this book I was like “theres no way this book is as crazy as the first one” ….i was wrong.
In this second book (the followup to MBP if u haven’t read it, go read it now) it follows the brother and best friend of the first FMC. It follows the same group of 4 friends and they are so lovable I am absolutely enraged that they are fictional and I cannot ACTUALLY be their friends.
The FMC is literally SO relatable I wanna be her bestie…like for-real. She is so empathetic and nice I absolutely fell in love with her. The MMC is mega dom, morally grey, but has an ACTUAL heart of gold. Both of the characters were hilariously funny and had me laughing at my kindle out loud like a maniac.
This book was smut FILLED! Unlike the first book (which was a slow burn) the smut starts very early on, which we LOVE😏 …but this isnt JUST a smutty book. I was absolutely STUMPED at the mystery in this book. I was trying so hard to figure out the twist but I can genuinely say, I guessed almost absolutely NOTHING correctly😂
If your looking for an amazing dark, spicy, twisty, and LOL worthy romance duology…THIS IS FOR YOU!

Holy fucking SHIT, ya’ll.
I just…

This book was SO GOOD.
The spice? CATACLYSMIC. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
The plot? DEVASTATING.
The FMC? TO DIE FOR! (literally my new favorite of all time?!)
When I say grumpy x sunshine? What I mean to say is “Severe Weather Warning x Sahara Desert.”
I would crawl a mile over broken glass just to have Easton tell me to “fuck off.” POINT BLANK, PERIOD.
And Callie?! MY GIRL CALLIE?? A ginger goddess angel in human form sent from heaven to make every character in this book look like they need to do a volunteer year with Habitat For Humanity for ANY chance at redemption. She’s THAT good.
This book was funny, sad, spicy, and all the things in between. I loved the character development from the first book to now, and I am impressed with the author’s ability to seamlessly continue a complex storyline without sounding redundant or repetitive. I am wholly and completely satisfied with the ending of this series, and so excited to read whatever comes next from Ember!

Great end to this duet. I should have known the trio wouldn’t get away with what they thought they got away with in the first book so easily. MSS continues with the drama and suspense of book 1, and Callie and Easton bring the spice I want to see in a romance novel.
Seeing Elle getting her happy ending and living peacefully and authentically was healing balm to my cold, dead heart.

Elle and Latham were the main characters in My Brother’s Problem, in which we were introduced to Elle’s brother Easton and her best friend Callie. Queue the Best Friend’s Brother forbidden romance trope that we quickly fall into in My Sister’s Solution. You have little miss sunshine Callie who feels so deeply and mister morally grey and sexily grumpy Easton who doesn’t think he is worthy of love. This one jumps right into the spice and let me tell you IT IS HOT! My Sister’s Solution starts a year after MBP ends, Easton is recovered and Elle is planning her wedding with Callie when a car shows up Latham’s parking spot at the station with a body inside. Apparently we still have some loose ends to wrap up from the last book. The final installment of this duet, is just as intense as the first one and this one has even bigger plot twists than the first one!

no, but for real I thought things were wild in the first book, My Brother's Problem.
however in true Ember fashion...I should know this by now having read the broken bounty series that you can always count on more emotional damage with each book. 😅
just when you thought things would be more chill for Easton, Latham, Elle, and Callie after what occurred in book 1....shit went even more sideways in this book.
really throwing you for a twist you don't expect.
I just loved these characters though, but I definitely could relate to Callie the most.

that epilogue though! oh my gosh. 🥹 it was EVERYTHING!!!

I was THRILLED to see that Easton was getting his own book and Ember Nicole really outdid herself with this one.
I loved the continuation of the story line from the previous book and all the plot twists and turns this one offered. One of my favorite things (outside of Easton’s dirty mouth) was the mystery person POV.
I thought Callie and Easton had the perfect chemistry and push and pull from friends to lovers.
I loved how Callie’s character remained empathetic and sweet but also grew into a strong FMC. It really was a perfect blend.
This book delivers on action, emotion and spice. I loved Latham, like love loved him but Easton…. Definitely one of my new book boyfriends. 🫠
The writing style of this book was amazing, the story flows really nicely and definitely has some surprises along the way.
I would HIGHLY recommend these books! Be sure to check the content warnings as these do touch on some potentially triggering subjects.

I didn't think the first book in this duet could be topped, but here we are. This book will rank in my top books of all time.
Book one had a ✨drizzle of spice✨, but this one was top notch The spice had me all hot and bothered, begging for Easton.
Easton and Callie had so much chemistry. They both had great character development. I'm so glad Easton got his own book (even though I wasn't sure what I was going to think of him. He is a man of few words. But baby, when he speaks....😙🤌🏻✨
The suspense? I can't say much about it, but someone is after Callie. And Easton will do whatever it takes to protect his woman. I had no idea who it was and was shocked when it was revealed! The twists will get you!!

Totally fell in love with Easton from the off; his foul mouth and completely addictive personality had me hooked. We knew a bit about him from My Brother’s Problem, but to read his POV and understand him more was incredible.
I have never highlighted a book as much as I did this one! Easton’s foul mouth and the dynamics between the four main characters left me unable to put it down! 🥵
It is an ABSOLUTE must read!

I don't even know where to start with this review! Ember Nicole's writing style has me hooked, and her ability to write with sass, despair, and sensuality blows me away. I loved "My Brother's Problem" and I knew I had to get "My Sister's Solution" immediately. This story follows Easton and Callie and their extremely complicated yet sexy journey together. Filled with angst and darkness, Easton never knew he could love anyone besides his sister again. When Callie, his sister's best friend, makes a daring move on him, Easton can't help but fall in love, even if it's against his whole nature. Filled with crime, lust, and drama, My Sister's Solution will keep you on the edge of your seat!!

Yet again, another five star read from Ember. Are we surprised? Going into this one I thought there was no way I could love it as much as MPB but I really related to Callie’s character (from a girl who cries about anything and everything). The tension between the MMC & FMC was practically radiating from the pages and I loved every minute.
There were aspects that others could find triggering but I was down for the entire ride! I loved the “thriller” aspect of this book because I was trying to guess the plot twist the entire way through… (real plot twist I didn’t guess right).
At this point I’ll read Ember’s grocery list. No further comments.

If you haven't read anything by ember nicole yet then you need to change that! Her work isn't stuff of fairy tales and easy going it's dark and twisted and in your face that you'd have no other option to love the morally gray males in her books. Easton despite thinking he's closed off him and Callie shouldn't work but they do! His sister's best friend brings the foul mouth Easton out from behind the walls he's built. It's not sunshine and roses and it's in your face dark and dirty.

Well Ember did it again…she played with my brain and my emotions throughout this entire book. Let me tell you I was trying SO HARD to guess the villain correctly but in true Ember fashion I couldn’t have been more wrong. To say I was gobsmacked by the plot twist is an understatement but I couldn’t put it down! Also getting to FINALLY experience Easton and Callie’s story is something that I hold near and dear to my heart. I absolutely loved their story even if it a little depraved and a lot intense. I want to give Easton the biggest hug to have survived everything he went through and I love Callie so much for taking every part of Easton no matter how dark or ugly and loving him endlessly. This book has become one of my comfort reads and this is why Ember will always be one of my top favorite authors of all time. 🖤💜

Once again I am stunned. The saga of 3 of the most traumatized people in history continues in the most painful ways and drags their sweet innocent friend along for the ride. What could possibly go wrong? How is this so right?
While East making Callie blush with his filthy mouth is quite appealing, I think it’s the banter between Lay and East that really does it for me. Does it help that they’re both ripped, angry, walking red flags? Obviously.

I devoured this book in less than 24 hrs like the first. It was yet another emotional rollercoaster 😘 I loved Callie and Easton. Even with all the toxic banter and s3xual tension. They were 🤌🏻💋. I’ll be honest though Easton was giving me whiplash. 🤣 The trauma and life they all experienced together to the end was hard like book 1. But they made it. Definitely recommend

What an amazing follow up book to the first one 😱 if you thought My Brothers Problem was a nail bitter you better prepare yourself! We can see the bond between Easton and Callie from the start even if they don’t want to admit it, watching it grow into something more on top of every challenge thrown their way. Definitely had me on the edge of my seat in the best way!

I was blown away by Easton. If I had thought Latham was the shit, Easton took everything from me. Callie was perfect for him, always. She didn't demand, she didn't force but she also didn't cower. She showed him that he didn't have to hide parts of him, that those parts were equally deserving of love and appreciation.
These characters, their story, this duet will stay with me for a long time. Ember is automatically an auto-buy author at this point. I will read anything by her, her shopping list, her will, her cytology report because she's that DAMN GOOD!
Nothing compares to her work and the characters she writes, it's kinda hard to believe this was only her second book.

I’m the kind of reader who does not miss a single detail, whether it’s hair, eye color, a full name of a sidekick, a nickname, a town, it does not matter, I will pay close attention and save that information for later.
Ember looked into the depths of my soul after reading My Brother’s Problem and said “𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺? 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘥!” When I tell you that I had a full suspect list going, I swear I could have been an LMPD detective with a pin board trying desperately to put the clues together to discover who the “villain”, aka The Revival, aka shhh I’m not spoiling it, was.
And I was still wrong!
The emotional rollercoaster this book puts you on from start to finish and the character growth for each of these characters is astounding. Not only was the spice in this book is delicious, but I loved each of these characters so much that I laughed, cried, and screamed right along with them.
If you’re not a Heathen yet, what are you even doing with your life? Go purchase My Brother’s Problem and prepare yourself for book two when it comes out on April 18th, because you’re not going to want to miss this!

Ember Nicole, you are freaking incredible! Not many authors get it right but with this and the first book/part "My Brothers Problem" were perfect examples of what to do. The actual story line people may not agree that the plot was enough but for once it actually was. Instead of being let down with the "highly anticipated build of of nothingness" that most stories have, this one was just perfect as in the first book we got the back story out of the way but the plot continued which made it easy to follow and understand instead of something ridiculously new coming from no where. It was satisfying when everything came together and not once made me think "wtf?"...👏🏻 🙌🏻
We got to see how Callie and East came to be even when it didn't make much sense from the start because she always tried to get with Lath (I would too girlfriend) but they fell into perfect sync with each other and that made it all the more perfect because what East lacked, Callie made up for. Despite the horrors of the past and present, they could see past the walls that were put up over the years and accepted each other for who they are. Not to mentions their sex life, good god it was fucking incredible - If that shit didn't give you fanny flutters then something is seriously wrong with you🙃
So overall, chaos from start to finish indeed, the ending was perfectly written and I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!! I do have to voice some inside thoughts, like is it wrong of me to want both Lath and East at the same time because good god these men are fucking fine! Not to mention, the size Lath was which I didn't realise until this book, lord have mercy for these men are fucking delicious! The only other thing I love more then big men (in either area😉) and spice, is having character stories cross over into another book. I frothed at Lath and Elle's relationship and to see how far they had come in this one made the book that much sweeter!

Ok FRIENDS… let me tell you… this book was fantastic! I loved absolutely everything about it (even the second time reading it) 😉.
My Sister’s Solution is the second book of a duet series- continuing on from the book My Brother’s Problem.
This amazing story is about Easton and Callie. Oh be still my heart… I loved Easton so much more in this book...and Callie - wow! Callie grew into her character in this book and became one of my fav MFCs. She is strong willed, intelligent, loving, and just all around a beautiful person. This duo was definitely meant to be together.
The original cast of characters are also written into this book because their stories and the relationships we read about in My Brother’s Problem are all key to the story line of My Sister’s Solution.
I absolutely LOVED the psychiatric content and it was clear to me that Ember did a great deal of research, leaving no detail behind. The accuracy was quite impressive and only further hooked me into her story.
This slow burn, grumpy sunshine, dark romance gave me all the feels. I love how Ember builds things up like we are being tortured and then hits us with all the filthy scenes, one after the other. I never knew when it was going to happen but when it did… DAMN! The heat in this book will make your toes curl, take your breath away and make you beg for more.
There are so many plot twists and turns and I have to say that I was not prepared for them. I kept thinking that I had everything figured out and I most certainly had not.
There was only one unanswered question…I can’t spoil it for you… but I totally think it was Nurse Sherri.
This book easily makes my top 5 all time dark romance reads. 100% a must read!

My Sister’s Solution by Ember Nicole is a highly anticipated sequel to My Brother’s Problem, which I read in December 2022. When I found out the book was ready, in the nicest way possible and not to sound too desperate , I ensured I was still on her ARC team and devoured this book.
Just like the first book, it has a slew of trigger warnings that I couldn’t wait to dig into. Same as the first book, this book was a dual perspective, but this time through the eyes of Easton, Elle’s brother and Latham’s best friend, and Callie, Elle’s best friend! Squeeee!! My Sister’s Solution picks up shortly after the first one ends. Latham and Elle are happily engaged and are about to be married. Callie and Easton, fighting a growing attraction, soon discover they no longer have the willpower to keep their hands to their selves. Easton, making it very clear that this is a one-night-only encounter, refuses to fall for the stunning redhead. Callie, seeing the potential in Easton, pushes him to face old demons and trauma he is still holding on to.
Unlike the first book, this one threw you directly into the fire, introducing “The Revival” in the book's very first chapter. Who is this mystery person? What kind of chaos would this person bring into the lives of the trio and Callie? I was here for it! Ember had me hooked immediately.
This book is considered a dark romance packed with mystery, violence, spicy scenes, a fantastic plot, and relatable morally grey characters you can’t get enough of. I love Ember’s writing style. She is gritty and real. She doesn’t hold back for the sake of the reader.

Trigger warning- let me tell you that you must be an adult and know your triggers before you pick up this book. While I admit that I am a wuss, trigger warnings are there for a reason.
While that is said, this was a fantastic, hold on to your seat, be prepared for some hair-pulling, kinda read. The emotion of the characters (yes East has emotions, there just deep, deep, DEEP down) are so gripping that you are in the character's heads for the moment you meet them. I loved how hard these people love each other and to what lengths they will go to be together.
This story picks up after Book 1, East is on the mend and starts to see his sister's best friend, Callie in a whole new light. While this makes him uncomfortable, he can't stop himself from needing her close. Of course, things don't go as planned and Callie is caught up in the crazy world that Elle, East and Lay came from. The darkness escalates from there with them all in danger for their lives and tough decisions needing to be made. (I know I'm being vague, but if I didn't get to know going in, neither will you, good luck friend.) 😊

Never did I think anyone could surpass Latham...and let's be honest East didn't necessarily surpass him as much as put them toe to toe in an all out UFC fight for my heart. And Callie....strong as hell FMC, just as tough as Elle, but just on a different level. I'll fight anyone who disagrees - being emotional is NOT a weakness, it's a strength and a blessing and I think that Callie showed East, Lath and Elle that no matter what someone has been through, it doesn't define who they are and that they are all worthy of love and HEA's.
Ember knocked this one out of the park again. I was leaning one way when I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on but boy did she throw in a twist for me that I was NOT prepared for, but boy did I absolutely LOVE the hell out of this book. And the spice...holy hotness so much spice. I loved that MBP was a slow burn but there was no stopping it once it started with MSS and I am alllllllways here for it! Go read them...now!

This book picks up after the first (My Brother's
Problem) and focuses on Elle's brother Easton and her best friend Callie. I thought Easton sounded sexy in the first book, but the second made sure you were head over heels for this dark and possessive character. This book has everything I could have ever wanted; a thriller aspect, dark romance, and definitely much more spice than the first. I loved getting more in depth with Easton's character, and watching his possessiveness and dominance with Callie was just especially after he was adamant that he's not the relationship type, and nothing would come from their time together. If you're looking for a book/duology that you cannot put down then this one is for you. Although so please check trigger warnings because either of these books is not for the faint of heart.

I loved the first book, but I think I love My Sister’s Solution even more! Callie and Easton’s chemistry was off the charts. Easton……do I even need to say more? Easton’s character had complicated emotions about Callie because of his childhood. He really grew throughout this book. One of the best parts about MSS was Easton’s protectiveness of Callie. I love a protective love interest.
My other favorite thing was the mystery and suspense of The Revival. Ember really hit it out of the park again with this one. I didn’t see the plot twist in My Brother's Problem and I definitely didn’t see this one coming at all.
This book had it all: spice, mystery, the biggest plot twist, and dark themes. I would give My Sister’s Solution a 5 out of 5 star rating with a 4 out of 5 spice level. I do recommend that everyone read the trigger warnings before starting this book. I do think this series is a good gateway to getting into the darker side of the romance genre.
