With the death of his grandmother, the Queen of Anesar, Prince Edgar becomes heir to the throne and must change his playboy ways. Princess Angelique of Taleres learns she is to strengthen the alliance with Anersar by marrying its heir. Neither Eddie or Angelique are pleased about the situation, however sparks fly the moment they lay eyes on one another. But is a steamy courtship enough to make Eddie leave behind his playboy lifestyle?
This is a very short story that is a very sensual, steamy and sexy read but a lovely romance as well, I do love a royal story and I loved Prince Eddie and Princess Angelique, this one will warm you up on cool night in such a good way.
Neither Eddie or Angelique were looking for love but when their families deem that it would be a good idea that they marry this will also benefit both countries they agree to meeting and their first meeting is not what they expected the sparks fly and the heat rises, will they put their pasts behind and find themselves in a wonderful and loving marriage the perfect future King and Queen?
If you love a short story that is on the sensual erotic side then this is one for you to pick up, I did thoroughly enjoy it, it left me smiling.
My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.
This was a fun and spicy little novel from an author who's making quite a splash at the moment. Darcie Morgan! I don't normally read novels with this heat level, but it was a breath of fresh air between the heavier stories that I've been reading. I found myself going back to it at every opportunity. It was well-researched and drew some cheeky comparisons to real royal life. I loved it! Keep an eye out for this new author. She's a lot of fun!
The Playboy Prince by Darcie Morgan is a good, and enjoyable steamy royalty arranged marriage romance read. The story has a great entertaining story line that is beautifully written. The characters are great, and they have great chemistry. This story is a very entertaining steamy page turning romance read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a first read from this author for me. A very short little novella.
I would have liked to have given it more than three stars, but there was very little substance to rate. The characters didn’t have much back story but they did have immediate steam.
There wasn’t any cheating, there were no blatant misspellings or grammatical errors… so all in all it was an easy forty-five minute read with an HEA 💁♀️
I received an ARC of this novella (thank you), and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The tagline of cheeky, hot and flirty, absolutely delivers in this steamy short story. When Prince Eddie and Angelique are expected to marry, sparks fly, and the build between them is great. I cannot wait to read the next book. And the author information is the best I’ve read. Hugely recommend.
If you only have time for a quickie, but still want to be left feeling satisfied then this new release from Darcie Morgan will meet your needs.
It may only be thirty-nine pages long, but the first book in the Royal Redemption series packs a whole lot of punch into those pages.
The book opens with Queen Henrietta of Anesar on her deathbed, two of her four children, Prince George, the heir apparent, and Princess Eliza have been summoned to her chambers. Henrietta’s concern for the wellbeing of her country is forefront in her mind even as death hovers. She entreats George to take his oldest son Edgar in hand, make him give up his party lifestyle, marry and settle down, for with her death, Edgar will be the new heir to the throne.
On the other side of the mountains from the landlocked country of Ansear is Talares. The two countries are heavily reliant on each other, and a marriage between Prince Edgar and Princess Angelique of Taleres will benefit both countries.
While both prince and princess are being maneouvered by their respective families towards a marriage of alliance, it seems that there is no lack of sexual chemistry between the couple, however, an overheard remark leaves Angelique questioning where she actually fits with the playboy prince. Despite the hot sex, is she just another dalliance, fated to be the ‘perfect queen’ while Edgar continues his party lifestyle?
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series to follow the relationship between Edgar and Angelique.
This is the first book in the Royal Redemption Series. This book focuses on a prince and princess from neighboring kingdoms who are pushed together by their families to try to unite their kingdoms. The prince needs to cleanup his reputation and get married so he will be considered to become King one day and The princess is in a similar situation with her family wanting her to settle down. This is definitely a sexy take on a classic story trope. This princess is not the fairytale princess we grew up with and I love it. She is strong and comfortable with her body and her sexuality. The prince was pretty standard I think. Classic playboy prince.
I enjoyed the story and the budding romance between the characters. I know they are royalty but I didn't love how formal they spoke in general. I'll be interested to see if book 2 will be about another royal family member or if it'll be a continuation of their story.
This is a short read so if you're looking for a short sexy romance this is a good read. Royal romance with a HEA.

I loved being swept away into the world of Anesar and this entertaining, page-turning, beautifully written story of two charismatic characters whose trip to HEA was so enjoyable (and hello, did I mention steamy?) I couldn't put the story down. And it was the perfect size for reading in an evening. Can't wait for more from this author and hopefully many more stories from this royally delicious world!
I don't usually read steamy contemporary romance but I've been in a bit of a reading rut lately and I also need to up my smexy writing game so I jumped on this when I was offered an advance review copy. I really enjoyed it!!! I mean, it was MUCH steamier than what I usually read - much, much steamier. Edgar is hot in a way that I didn't know Edgars could be hot and he lends weight to the theory that reformed rakes make the best husbands...
Phew! Talk about steamy! I'm going to be honest and say I don't normally read the royalty trope, but I LOVE how Darcie Morgan portrayed this modern royal society - it totally sucked me in. This was an extremely well-written story, and I mention that because often this kind of sensual erotica can be poorly written. Not in this case! The Playboy Prince was a fun, tightly written read and I can't wait to read more books in this royal series!
These two have an equal enjoyment for unashamedly getting their groove on, not a bad way to start an arranged marriage. ;) There's also some romantic & familial emotions adding some heartfelt moments to the story. Short, steamy, and entertaining read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Very quick read, short story. Both Angelique and Eddie had “been around the block” and both were being pushed by their parents to marry. Despite their knee-jerk reaction to the pressure, they found a lot in common. An almost insta-love story.

Great insta-love royalty romance. Two partying royals who are matched by their royal parents find instant attraction and love upon meeting as adults. Spicy and graphic, with very little 3rd act challenge to hinder their HEA. Recommend for those wanting a quick, royal read.
Thanks to BookSirens for an ARC copy. This is my honest review.
Too cute, but also way too short! I wanted more!! Lol The story was really good, I didn’t want it to end. I love the prince and princess storyline especially when they’re getting down and dirty!!
I received this book from BookSirens for my honest opinion as an ARC.
First chapter starts off on the slow, but don’t get discouraged it’s a great read. It’s witty with plenty going on. A good read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A steamy read that goes from fun to flashpoint in no time. I haven't read the royal trope in a while, and this was a fantastic reminder of why I love them. Can't wait to see more of this world.
