Years ago, in the hills of North Georgia, the Indians told a story of a lone black wolf that emerged from the smoke of revenge. The story became a legend, and now when the wolf is seen, it is said that someone will die. After learning her mother once lived in Dahlonega, Misty travels to Black Wolf Lodge in search of answers. While there, a deadly storm sweeps through the mountains, ravaging the area and trapping everyone at the lodge. When one of the guests is killed, the legend of the black wolf is blamed, but Misty feels there could be a murderer lurking in their midst. As she delves into the secrets of the lodge, buried truths come to light and mysteries of the past are finally revealed.
Other than writing, I love to travel, spend time with my family (which includes my dog, Opie!), read a book, go on adventures, and eat boiled peanuts. If you've read my books, I truly hope you enjoyed them!
This one is a winner! Very fast paced. Lots of suspense and intrigue. Romance thrown in and a lot of humor. And an ending I didn't guess! Have to read the next one!
13 Stars!! O. M. G. Ms Jenny Elaine!! You can't do this to me!! I was so into this book that I smelled the forest after the rain, I tasted the food, I felt the terror in Misty and Tori's souls ~~ and I saw the Black Wolf!! I pray to Goddess that you are busy writing book #4!! I have to find out who Misty's father is and if Tori gets saved!! Whew!! Now, I have to come back to my reality... Hurry up and write that book!! 👸💜🍁
Wow just wow!!!! This book was amazing!!! Just unbelievable. I can't wait to get to the next one. Ms Jenny is an exceptional writer with a gift. Each of her books draw you in and doesn't let you go.
I love following the blossoming relationships and the twists and turns in the story. I must admit the author surprised me! I can't wait for the next book!
This is a wonderful series! Just enough mysteries and suspense to keep the story engaging! There is nonstop action between the murders, coincidence, snooping and accidents. Love the characters and I am always pulling for Misty. The endings to books 1, 2, and 3 flow into each other perfectly - Each book reaches a point where I have to know more👍🏾 Going into the last series book of the Shady Pines Mysteries - Book 4 Shadows of the Past 😉
This series is so good. I started with book one. At first I thought it was a bit stiff and too simply written but as I got to know the characters and feel like I was there with them I was hooked. Each book is left with a cliff hanger that makes you want to know immediately what happens next. So without doing a review I just started the next book. They get better and better. Easy to read but when I put it down to do something else I can’t wait to pick it back up again. So with that said, I’m off to find out what happens in the next book.
Great read with multiple mysteries within a mystery. Not at all repetitive (hate that) story flows really well. Always anxious to start the next book! Keep up the writing Jenny...love them ❤❤
Misty and Tori are planning a weekend trip to Black Wolf Lodge, where Misty’s mother used to work. Tori’s oven goes out at the last minute and she has a hard time finding a repairman that works weekends. I had to keep putting this book down because I was so frustrated with the main character. Misty is supposed to be trying to find out information about her mother, but turns into an all out busy-body putting herself and others in danger to satisfy her curiosity. She had no business picking locks and snooping, but she did it anyway. She made the comment near the end of the book that this wasn't the first time someone had tried to kill her. Misty seemed pretty blasé about that, which is just moronic. I detest moronic female characters. Not really looking forward to the 4th and hopefully final book, but with Tori in danger, I feel compelled to put up with nosy Misty. Still like Wally, even though he was fairly absent from this book, but his distant cousin, the black wolf, was his stand-in.

Definitely one of my new favorite book series! I started this series on a Saturday and finished all 4 by the following Wednesday! I couldn't put them down! If you love a good mystery in each book but one main mystery to find out at the end of the series this is the series for you! I finished book 3 in one day! This author is definitely one of my current favorites and can't wait for her to write more!
