A good book for a Voice Over beginner.
First and foremost you need to know I am a big fan of Bill DeWees! I have watched his many YouTube videos and found him offering insightful and encouraging voice over information from equipment to recording to marketing. He also has a M-F live morning podcast where he shares interesting VO tidbits. So I was excited to read his book. I am probably spoiled by all that I have learned from Bill's YT videos etc. and found this more of a repeat of what I had already learned. I think t his is a good book for someone totally new to the idea of VO. On my VO wishlist is to join one of Bill's coaching sessions. He has a sincere approach to his VO work and his students' success. I want to be one of those. Soon I hope! Now the question is why four stars? If I knew nothing, it would have been Five Stars. But for me, at this point, I wanted more. Now I have guilt because I am judging the book on my needs and not on the book's usefulness for someone new so considering that aspect I am changing it to a Five.
