"The only way you will ever feel complete is if you fully embrace who you are..."
Alana Knight lived an average life until tragedy struck when she was only sixteen, leaving her to learn how to fend for herself. She spent the next few years picking up odd jobs while living in hotel rooms and her car until she finally saved up enough money to leave Massachusetts with nothing but a backpack full of clothes and the never been opened locket from her mother around her neck. After a long drive, Alana finds herself in a little town called Magnolia Falls, where she will learn that nothing is as it seems.
Just as Alana is settling into her new surroundings, her entire life gets turned upside down when she finds out her whole life has been a lie, and her world is rocked once again. She uncovers a letter from a dead relative, which leads her on the ultimate journey of self-discovery.
What happens when Alana discovers that she is the key to solving a problem in a world that she never knew existed? Can she learn to forgive the ghosts of her past and become one with the new world? Or will she leave them to fend for themselves against darkness and deny her true identity?
No matter what choice she makes, Alana knows that her life will never be the same.

I loved the premise of this book. The writing is generally good and you can get lost in the story. I wanted a little more ‘meat’ when moving through the enemies to lovers storyline - it felt sudden and disconnected at times. Overall, I recommend this book and enjoyed my time in Magnolia Falls :)
This was a good book with an interesting and twisting story. It also could have used an editor. The plot was good the betrayal was good the love was nice, but this book is over 500 pages because it needed an editor
